Jiyalas who are waiting for choor dako to run it course (i.e. disappear after looting the country) worth nothing. Kis kam k heen wo loog jo "apney choor" k janey ka wait kareen instead of taking a step.
The real Pakistan People's Party died with Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. The second washed down version of it still retained remnants of the original message when Benazir Bhutto led the party because she tried to relate to her father's ideology, and people accepted her as the direct link to her father who many admired still after his death. Everything that has come after passing of Benazir Bhutto is a shell with nothing inside it, rotten at the core because those running the party have nothing to do with the original ideology, or care for the spirit of sacrifice that they like to milk in public speeches, and voting booths.
Now it's almost like a tired sequel of a good flick, the first one was the best and captivated the audience, the second version brought people back to the credit of the first one, and the rest is all too predictable because of failed showing and a horrible script and actors. To indulge in it again would be a waste of time and money, but people still turn up to watch it hoping the new director would give it a nostalgic spin.
^ what about the experinaced hands in PPP like aitzaz ehsan and rabbani ?? I beleive they also knwo that our people will not accept any one out of bhutto clan to lead PPP and soon there will be a divide in it.
The Jiyalas who made ZAB in 70s, and resisted Zia in 80s were largely made up of young professionals, activists and students. Fast forward to 2015, these same Jiyalas are now nearing or currently in retirement age. So what kind of 'resistance' can they possibly have against Zardari at this age?
As some wise-men once said, you need young minds and able bodies to be the pulse of any ideology, and forefront of any possible resistance.
Besides, the bulk of Jiyalas who resisted Zia were by and large Punjab based. Punjab based Jiyalas don't have any ethnic and regional allegiances to PPP. If Bhutto's are dead for them, then so is PPP.
Dictatorship and family tragedies have worked as oxygen for PPP. Take these two factors out, party has no ideology to put in practical means or use any fancy rhetoric to woo the public.
I know some Jiyalas have this fantasy that in 20-30 years time Bilawal will grow out of his baby chair, and turn PPP upside down. There are more chances of 2-3 more new parties getting formed in next 20-30 years than PPP making a miraculous journey back to supremacy.
Do you really think people will wait for that long. Other parties will take over by than. Thanks to zadrai PPP is done and dusted.
This is the period when people get fed up with their phones within six months, this generation yearns for some thrill. PPP as it stands today has got nothing to offer to the people, to the hardcore jiyalas Bhutto could be alive but for the majority he is dead. Its not possible for PPP to cash on brand Bhutto anymore, we can see the steep downward slide for PPP during the past 7 years. People would be interested to know what the party can offer them, their program.

You have any interesting way of making things up - who said anything about people waiting?
I said Bilawal is too young, he is showing good signs, and will take 10-20 years to be the leader people want - which is when people will look to him again.
In the meantime PPP will continue in Sindh, and have a handful of seats throughout the country.

So people will just wait for him to become a leader in 10-20 years and than look at him again. What does that mean if it is not waiting for him for all these years?
