Love the chura ceremony pics !!

In Punjabi weddings : The morning of the wedding, batna, a paste of flour and turmeric, is applied to the face, hands and legs of the bride. This is believed to beautify the skin. She then has a bath and sits for the puja, after which she is made to wear the bridal ‘chura’, red and white ivory bangles that signify her status as a bride. Her relatives then tie a kalira (jingle) on these churas, which convey their good wishes and blessings. The eligible girls line up and the bride lightly bangs her kaliras on their head. It is believed that by doing this, these girls would be the next to get married.

I’m surprised to see mostly Indian weddings on this thread … theyre beautiful but I’d also love to see more Pakistani weddings

i agree with you !! these are not ordinary class weddings !!
dese are d weddings of super rich !!
but dere s ds saying...if "u hv it den flaunt it"...weddings dese days are more of a status symbol thing !! but we should leave d story behind and just appreciate d pictures of all the beautiful brides !!
after all a bride is a bride....whether rich or not... an indian or pakistani :)

well i intentionally put up indian bridal pics , a) coz i am indian and have access to more indian-related photogrpahs b) there is 1000+ page post called Bridal Pics that is filled with numerous beautiful Pakistani pictures so made no sense to start another one c) wanted to show other weddings as well.

I would put up pakistani wedding pics if i had any !!! till then enjoy these if you like .

Please remove the underscores ( _ ), spaces, and any such characters from the picture name and upload again. I really want to see this Manish malhotra dress!
