Not all women work, at least in muslim countries. Not everyone has assets.
Well, I understand why it doesn’t make sense…after all most religions don’t have this arrangement and the court plays the bigger role in what happens after a divorce.
But that’s what makes Islam special. There are many rights men have over women that don’t make sense either but if everything made sense to us, I’m sure we wouldn’t be humans, no?
