teggy, something I’ve found profoundly helpful in enhancing my memory when memorizing the surahs is reading the tafsir and translation alongside it. So you read the surah, the English translation and then (Ibn kathir’s) detailed tafsir of the surah which explains the context and then it’s much more meaningful and therefore easy to retain and recall.

Thanks Scherbatsky. That’s what I’m doing at the moment, but really just reciting for the sake of fluency. InshaAllah on my second repeat, I will start to focus on memorization as well as reciting. Keep me in your duaa and prayers, inshaAllah.
