If you had to choose between the two allrounders for an ODI, who would you prefer?
Razzaq has better figures but Afridi is flamboyant.

If we see the current scenario then no doubt Abdul Razzaq, who can stay on the crease and can hammer the balls away. As a bowler can be used in middle overs.

Just recently afridi made his bowling better otherwise straightaway I have gone for razzaq. Now i m double minded specially for T20 I hate to say but I will select afridi over razzaq

Razzaq has always been my favourite player and so razzaq over Afridi for me.

Razzaq is a better all rounder, in my view.
But the timing of making this comparative question is rather telling. RIGHT AFTER one of them just finished arguably the best match of his time.?! :)

Afridi a better bowler and fielder than Razzaq
Razzaq is a clean hitter or may be he uses his brains while batting while Afridi doesnt

Afridi is more economical and has a different style of teetering the match in a quick session IF he fires…
Razzi is pretty ordinary in his bowling but still is a wicket taker in limited overs…
and now his batting will and can be better than Afridi’s…so Fridi needs to be very very afraid of his future unless he can RENT a BRAIN from some where…

Razzaq has a better temperament than Afridi. Cant remember a time when Afridi guided Pakistan home, can think of a couple right away for Razzaq.
That said, Afridi's bowling is much better than Razzaqs. Include both in limited overs, if there has to be a choice I'd still go for Afridi.

Razzaq...he mostly does good in batting and does satisfactory job in bowling..
afridi is usually good in bowling.....but a very big IF in his batting.

This quite sensational innings by Razzaq underscores the real difference between him and Afridi, both massive hitters of the ball but only Razzaq uses his brains. He is more circumspect. While Afridi tries to hit every ball out of the park regardless of the match situation or the team’s position, Razzaq bats sensibly. His aerial shots are usu. flat and not catchable. Afridi by contrast is more of a brainless slogger

Razzak anyday. Afridi is brainless (I say that on here so often should I make it my signature? haha). Razzak is underused as a bowler. He is a better batsman. Can hit the ball well but is not a blind slogger. He is still not a great batsman or a complete batsman (dont get carried away by 1-2 innings) but much better than Afridi.
And last but definitely not the least.. he is a clean record (as far as I know).. Afridi on the other hand.. pitch dancing ball tampering ball EATING..

The timing of this thread is not good obviously because of the current 'emotions', but I would've picked Razzaq over Afridi anyday because of multiple reason (including ones mentioned by Sharabee :D)

Afridi has won more one-day games for Pakistan with the ball though and is a better fielder than Razzaq
My only problem with Afridi is the way he stupidly tries to hit every ball out of the ground. Even in the 2nd ODI Afridi batted well for his 49 but then played a really loose aerial shot & holed out in the deep. When your team is 4 down for 130 odd you should be looking to consolidate the innings esp. when you are also the skipper of the side. That was horrible by any standards

Asif..I know what you mean bro.. even the 49 was frustrating for me.. it was full of unnecessary risks and chances etc.. dont get me wrong.. it could be entertaining to watch as neutral spectator... but frustrating at the same time.. he does this almost everytime.. riding your luck like that is NOT cool for a middle order CAPTAIN whos one of the few senior batters in the side...

but yes.. i confess.. i probably overdo the afridi bashing.. i cant help it! he's such a ********... i started hating him even more after he gets the captaincy awarded after the ball eating incident... am still not over that..
