no they are called jammu & kashmir residents not “kashmiris”, kashmiri is an ethnic group just like pahari is. if you are a punjabi, you wouldn’t like to be called sindhi would you? this is the same situation there. j&k is made up of all different ethnic groups, religions and viewpoints which vary based on what kind of experiences they’ve had good or bad

Additionally, the ethnic make-up of Kashmir valley has changed over the last few decades due to the systematic cleansing of Kashmiri pundits and other non-Muslims.
