U know whats even sadder? I know someone who said they were molested as a child......yet when told about someone who was actually raped, they said the girl was asking for it and had it coming to her.

I really dont understand what went through the mind of that person when they made usch a judgment.

rape is one of the only crimes where the victim gets blamed so heartlessly.
using same "logic".... every crime can be blamed on the victim,
car got stolen- why did u buy a nice car, why in a red colour,
why did you park the car there,
why did you not have x million locks and disabling devices on it

I guess the only way to thus not be held responsible for any crime committed against one, is to sit in a bunker somewhere..

Before criticizing the society Juts ask from ur self that will u be ready to marry your brother or son with that kind of girl ????? Of course never!!! Give me the reasons? You and me are the part of our society and first we ve to change ourselves then put finger on others ..........

A man is more than welcome to choose his wife and vice versa....just like a man is free to reject a girl who can be blind, missing a leg, etc (with no fault of hers)......so a man is free to reject a girl who is raped......its his choice to marry a virgin girl and so is a woman free to do so.

But if you reject a raped woman by calling her honorless or "be-izzat", you are just sick and belong to medievial age.

Till our society gets this notion of 'damaged goods' bakwaas out of their thick heads the victims won't get any protection, will unfairly get looked down upon for NO reason.

For people who use the excuse of not marrying a girl that has been raped, that 'she is damaged goods' is sick.

For people who blame the girl for dressing and 'asking for it' is even sicker. To not overcome one's desire to the point of ASSAULTING a girl is sign of an animal in my opinion and again shifts the focus of the whole thing to the victim (of how she dresses) instead of punishing the scumbag that did it.

I personally reckon rapists should… shall we say be surgically prevented from commiting that crime again Or perhaps simply killed becuase society and humanity demands it… even if i God forbid found my own blood a rapist i will want to be the one that kills him first.

But at the same time there are many women out there that are hardly the ladies we assume them to be… many a court case has proven a drunken woman pleading rape was actually elicit in the act… in which case i believe both man and woman are guilty and both be dealt the same way.

Theres no excuse for Rapists, peados and other sickos in this world… perhaps people will see my view as barbaric but i am totally calm and resolute.

Well everyone has their own perspective. Now that women dress in this way or that doesnt count in the rural areas where rape is being attempted due to many other whatsoever reasons. It will only confine the perspective. A crime is a crime and to blame the secondary facts (like how she dressed or how she walked or the gestures she made) sounds like the story of wolf and lamb where the wolf has to eat the lamb because he has to and therefore he can give you hundred and one reasons for that.

err i’d appreciate if u let me do my thinkings meself, and yeah if my brothers wants to marry a rape victim, i see no harm in it, i’ll thank Allah azza wa jal for giving me such a noble person as my brother and if i am blessed with a son and he ever looks down on a rape victim then i’ll spank him real bad:ASA:
and Alhamdulillah in my opinion, a person should be seen as he/she is at the present , their akhlaq, iman, modesty…in no way is a person to be judged by what happened to them to them in the past..

Being honest I'd respect my brother more if he married a girl who'd been thru that.. Years and years ago after the Bangladeshi war for liberation there was a campaign encouraging men to marry those women and girls who'd been raped by soldiers. Dunno how well it worked but it shows that not everyone has that backward view that raped women are 'damaged goods' or were somehow 'asking for it.'

What do you mean by "that kind of girl"? What kind of girl is she if she was brutally and unfairly taken advantage of? She's not some sort of 'untouchable' or 'damaged goods' just because of a situation that happened to her that was out of her control. With attitudes like this it's no wonder rape victims rarely come forward with evidence to prosecute their attackers. Then, these scum get away with it scot free and probably commit the crime again.

Come one ladies don't get emotional .... In my point of view these are also the women who laughed on that victim and do most of the gossips every where about it. You are saying all these words in an emotional mood only. I"m sure you will never select a black or handicap girl for your son or brother. Its very easy to say words but hard to act upon on it.

Just give me the one example if you or your any relative did this ur family ? Even ladies always looks for Channd c Dulhan for their ugly looking brothers!
