I had a strong feeling that the girl was going to die. The media had mentioned some days ago that the infection had spread to her other organs even after 90% of her intestines were removed, and it is very hard to recover from that.

My feeling was confirmed when she was shifted to Singapore, the only reason the govt. did this was because they wanted her to die in another country and avoid more riots if she had died in Delhi.

Now the Indian govt. will delay as much as possible to bring her body back to india.

really sad news...words no longer can convey grief ....

rape is a prevalent phenomenon in Pakistan as well...there are actual many public rapes especially in sindh and Baluchistan....same is true abt villages in punjab..in Baluchistan it is usually a revenge story...

We in subcontinent live in a toxic society that teaches women not to get raped, instead of teaching men not to rape..............until that changes, do not expect the rape rate to go down significantly....RIP Amanat!

also let us not make it India pak war please...for god sake....as someone tweeted that death of Indian gang-rape victim is a moment to ponder for entire subcontinent region ...when will we develop zero tolerance for misogyny & sexual violence?

Maybe my geography is bad but since when Pakistan and KSA became part of India and maybe my knowledge of religions is poor but how come what happened in India is being tied to Islam?

No idea why Pakistan and Islam is dragged in to every negative thread!

Last time it was about an Indian woman and her abortion issue in Ireland and Islam was dragged in that also.

Actually, the Irish woman killed because of idiotic religious laws is very relevant to Pakistan, where idiotic religious laws also cause similar madness… Its a simple equation, if a=b=c then a also = c… That is if Ireland = Idiotic religion based laws = Pakistan, then Ireland = PAKISTAN!

Getting back to the issue at hand. This is some f’ed up sh.t. But rest assured India, there will be justice in the end.

13yr old girl was abducted & raped by 4 boys & left by the roadside. She crawled to a business & was raped by 2 workers, then a driver offered to give her a lift, but raped her, then a truck driver and his aide kidnapped & raped her 9 more days. (4 of the rapists were pardoned.)

Please don't make it into a laughing matter. Rape of a woman from any country, race, color, religion, ethnicity or age is one of the most horrible things one can suffer. It is not about India or Delhi. I am sure a lot of cases in South Asia go unreported because of our culture and traditions.

No matter what happens anywhere in the world, you will bash Pakistan or Islam at the end of your every sentence. Right?
