I’m the same way – initially my mother made one for me for my wedding and then decided to make me a different one when I pointed out how much I didn’t like them and that I would not wear it unless forced. She kept it for herself 
I LOVE satlaras tho. My friend wore her nani’s on her shadi and I fell in love. Really beautiful.
