I don’t post here regularly anymore but I thought this is an important event. Not that anyone would care about my opinion, but I will share it anyway … being a Karachiite whose family migrated from what is now India.
I think Rangers have done a good job in this operation. Culprits were caught in the vicinity of MQM headquarter which in itself proves that MQM is the guilty party here.
It would be BS if anyone says that MQM has not been involved in violence and target killings.
I particularly would mention Hammad Siddiqi who has been involved in killings of 120 people (mostly Shias) and starting a fire in Baldia. I posted a few months back that he is working alongside ASWJ in target killings of Shias in Karachi, especially those Shias who belong to MQM itself. Now, Altaf Hussain threw him out of Tanzeemi Committee, but this dismissal was for some other reasons. He was let go, and now he is outside Pakistan.
I know some Shia people working for MQM (not everyone working for MQM is a criminal), who were killed by MQM’s ASWJ allied group.
So that raid on nine-zero was totally justified. MQM should pay the price for using violence for political gains.
Peace in the city is the priority for every Urdu-speaking Karachiite. If people are convinced that MQM is a victim here, and that it really is involved in those activities then MQM won’t find anyone condemning this operation.
In the end, I think such indiscriminate operations will actually benefit MQM. Provided that it realizes that people vote for the party for the betterment of the city, and not for the love of Altaf Hussain.
About the timing of this raid and senate elections, I think it does not matter. It may have been done for political reasons but the important point is that it is the right thing to do. So I support Ch. Nisar here.
No one should be above the law. Be it Taliban or MQM or PPP or ANP.

KARACHI: Atleast two rangers personnel were killed and two were injured in a bomb attack in Karachi’s area North Nazimabad on Friday, NewsONE reported.
According to initial reports, a mobile van of the Rangers was attacked with a bomb near Qalandria chowk of North Nazimabad area.
The bomb was planted in a motorcycle which exploded near the van of Rangers personnel.
The injured were shifted to nearby hospital, while the police and Rangers cordoned off the area and started investigation.

Just like foreign powers exploit ground conditions of a country to their needs, army/establishment exploits vacuums, injustice against one party/ethnicity/province/population to their agenda. Civilians created quota system, they exploit other populations, they deprive other populations (based on province/ethnicity). If civilians don’t do such retarded acts, if they work sincerely for betterment of population and country then there is no way anyone will be able to create such mafias/gangs. You can blame army/establishment all you want but the fundamental problem is with the civilians itself.
