CB, I beg to differ. Maybe you will notice too Kamyab bhai clearly stated in his very 1st para that he does not defend or support the law enforcement agencies taking law in their own hands.
To add to this, its been a norm in Karachi specifically where snatching has been going on so frequently that the whole public of Karachites is absolutely sick and tired of and have been praying for this menace to end, something which Kamyab bhai is probably aware of hence his reaction to it, what you see is what you choose to believe in. And no, they don’t take it as a reason to leave Karachi or in all Pakistan, they love the country hence choose to stay in no matter if their lives are at stake.
I’ll provide you with a few examples of what happens if you question the snatchers, let alone choose to fight for whats yours, even if its a piece of electronic, or paper.
A couple were at seaview enjoying gol guppas when a few robbers knocked on their car windows and asked for whatever they had, the guy hesitated and was shot in the head, it had been no more than 2 days since the 2 were married and the wife was left there looking at her newly wed husband who was absolutely silent and hence dead.
An old aged man while taking some cash he needed out of the bank atm was met with a robber who held him at gunpoint inside the atm, was shot until dead for a few thousand rupees. The video of the incident is scattered around on youtube.
I’m sure the above are as much disturbing to cause heartaches to anyone hence I won’t go on, but trust me there are a few more examples. And yes, most of the above incidents were sadly carried out by MQM activists.
Last but not the least, I fail to call this particular incident fair and no matter what the ordeal, the deceased did deserve a fair trial just like every Pakistani.
