I salute these Rangers. They can only kill innocent unarmed boys. When Raymond Davis comes along they all wet their pants.

Re: Rangers kill Innocent Man in Karachi
Unarmed youth shot dead by Rangers at point blank
Karachi: A youth was killed when Rangers shot him in a busy area of Karachi, Boat Basin, television channels reported late on Wednesday.
Five men from the Ghazi wing of the Rangers are said to be involved in the incident, of whom two have been arrested.
Video footage of the incident showed the Rangers killing the man, Sarfaraz Shah, who had a pistol in his hand, after beating him up.
Before being shot, Shah had tried to grab the security forces’ weapons.
Initially, the police and Rangers had claimed that they were informed that a dacoit had held a family hostage in Benazir Bhutto Park. The security personnel claimed that they went inside the park and asked the man to surrender. When he refused to do so, the Rangers shot at him in retaliation. Shah was injured and died after reaching Jinnah Hospital, security personnel said.
Shah was the brother of Salik Shah, a reporter of Samaa TV. The family of the deceased along with journalists held a protest at the chief minister’s house in Karachi. The chief minister has taken notice of the incident.
The Sindh information minister, Sharjeel Memon has said that no leniency will be shown to the culprits.
Political parties, including the ANP and the MQM, have condemned the incident.
Re: Rangers kill Innocent Man in Karachi
Terrorists in uniform.
Remember Quetta tragedy where Chechens men and women were brutally murdered the same way?
aam aadmi ko janwar samajhte hein ye saalay khabees.

Re: Rangers kill Innocent Man in Karachi
Deceased Sarfaraz Shah, 17, is said to be brother of a reporter of private news channel.
Meanwhile, Boat Basin police, on the directives of Sindh Chief Minister, have registered case against two Rangers officials Aalam Zaib and Akhtar on the complaint of his brother Salik Shah.

Re: Rangers kill Innocent Man in Karachi
The actual story is slightly different than what we see on the media, however please be aware I am not defending the incident that took place. Its just sad and heart aching to see what happened to Mr. Sarafaraz (May Allah swt rest his soul)
Prior to this incident Mr. Sarfaraz along with his partner were busy snatching gold/cell phones and whatever precious belongings they could find from a couple innocent women who were at the boat basin food street, the females were accompanied by a man who perhaps was one of the womens husband and was out to get them all a burger/bunkabab while this incident took place.
During this time, a man who is reportedly in police and dressed in a civil uniform noticed the snatching taking place and grabbed one of the snatchers (Mr. Sarfaraz) from behind and took him over to the nearest Rangers mobile unit to hand him over. And that is when this incident took place.
Currently, all 5 Rangers present at the scene are in custody and awaiting trial, while the man who caught Sarfaraz and handed him over is being searched for along with the person who made the footage video, also the head of police (SHO Boatbasin) has been suspended until further notice.
Re: Rangers kill Innocent Man in Karachi
Barbaric.
To hell with investigation and trial - send the unit straight to North Waziristan on next train.
Re: Rangers kill Innocent Man in Karachi
This is most disturbing.
Shamefull I have a relative who is a Captain in the Rangers and acts like this make his job 10 times more difficuilt.
I ask that we bear in mind that there is a general state of anarchy in our country and both the Public and the Powers that be are to blame.
However we should stand up for the truth and I pray fervently that the zalim meet thier due punishments. That said we must also remember that not all Rangers are evil and some of them are just like you and me. I'm not defending these barbarians but there are good and bad in everything.
Please dont let this incident form generalisations. While there is a lot of corruption in the forces the average guys are not that bad... this is merely a reflection of the times were in... anarchy is rife and somebody will have to do something about it sometime... soon.
Re: Rangers kill Innocent Man in Karachi
^^^ I agree with you, but this kind of stuff adds to general state of anarchy. Btw, that guy was innocent until proven guilty and they executed him in cold blood, and these are the people who are suppose to be enforcing law?

Obviously not everyone among rangers is a cold blooded murderer. No one even here even suggested it. I wonder why you would have to say that.
But it is well established that the law enforcement forces are in general out of hand in Pakistan. This incident is a visual proof of it. So something must be done about it.
Extra judicial killings are not done just by rangers. Police and others (eg, ISI) are equally responsible. Remember Kharotabad incident, and also Sialkot(?) incident where two men were beaten to death with sticks with approval from policemen present at scene.
Most people in our forces consider common folks little more than sheep, and carry on their lawlessness with impunity. That's why they need to be taught a strict lesson.

Hi Chunky, how are you aware of this ? is this from a media link ? just out of curiosity and wanting to ensure that news about the action being taken is correct ... coz in pakistan there is not hope really ...
even if the man was busy looting women ... he should have been handed over to the police and tried in the courts and given a punishment accordingly, i cant believe those who are the law , took the law in their own hands , just because they had a machine gun in their hands , they thought they are the all powerful ...
disgusting ...

Salam CB. I know about this through eye witnesses that were present at the time this incident took place, I've spent majority of my life in the area hence happen to know alot of people who do business in the boat basin food street. There are a few more revelations regarding the incident, Mr. Sarfaraz belonged to a gang of 8 people who used to snatch cell phones in the boat basin and clifton area. Also, before Mr. Sarfaraz was caught he was holding a gun on 2 innocent women's heads and continued to snatch whatever he could. The gang according to sources also happens to be from the MQM party.
Regardless of all, he deserved a fair trial and should've been arrested instead of the law enforcing agencies taking things in their own hands and eventually killing a man who was begging for mercy and as well was unarmed.
Edit: I'll repeat, all i know and have shared is through internal sources who either witnessed the incident or have heard it through sources considered reliable, at the end of the day much of this could be wrong or right. Peace.
