Re: Rameez's comments on Yousuf
I think Ramiz has been unfair, thats how Yousuf plays and he cannot play any faster than this. I mean some batsmen CAN slog others cannot. Yousuf does not have this ability. Havent seen him doing that.
I also agree with the others that Pakistan innings was pathetically slow. The main person to blame is Malik himself who exemplified this by playing painfully slow in first 15 overs. The score at end of 15 overs was 50!. Thats where we lost it.
Yousaf doesn't slog, but he does have the ability to hit fours and occasional sixes. Malik and Younis should take some of the blame too, but it could be argued that they played in the "consolidation" stage where it was necessary to build partnerships and not lose wickets, with the understanding that accelaration would come in the latter stages of the innings.
Malik, by the way, is not the ODI type who can score runs at will. And he didn't do himself any favors by laying the blame squarely on bowler's shoulders. Apparently the direction came from him to set a target of around 250, without realizing that 250 is just too small a target to defend these days.
