I m going to the premier at the saiff 2008, can’ t wait to meet nandita. I know mehreen frm college so I expect these 2.30 hrs to be well spent. any 1 else interested?

watched the movie a couple of days ago... overall... a pretty decent narration... but it's not for anyone who's only into song-n-dance masala flicks.

I was really looking forward to this film, but serioulsy, Mehreen Jabbar has made much better plays than this film. It was slow and couldn't hold my interest. Minor miracle it enjoyed a 12 week theatrical run in Pakistani theaters and managed to do average business.

it doesn't have anti pakistan undertones does it? I know I know, it says its by a paki director...but so was khamosh pani and look how douchebaggy that was....

^ nope - no anti-Pakistani elements per say... just the narration of a true story of a Pakistani Hindu Dalit boy in Indian prison.
They've just shown the life of dalits in general and the societal bias towards them on either side of the border.

^ hope you like it then Sheen - I mainly liked it because of the acting and the execution along with a true tone narration without exaggerations.
I just heard Mehreen Jabbar's interview on BBC and she seems to be getting a good response internationally.

awesome movie
it’s still not released in U.S yet. It’s premier is marking the closing of saiff 2008 which had been going on since last week. After reading the reviews frm sum of the critix I m really excited to watch it now.
p.s. n I m only in those song-n-dance masala flix which hv hrithik roshan in them 
clearly you’re not only interested in song-n-dance masala flix… not that there’s anything wrong with them… I personally succumb to watching something like that a couple of times during the year.

I finally did watched the movie, very nice effort. thumbsup to nandita :k: the only thing that i was not v thrilled abt was the language used in it not as in the lingoo but in terms of the slang and galiyaanz that were so freely used in it. I m not a v big fan of that heck I didn’t liked munna bhai for the same reason. I understand mehreen was just trying to be realistic but come on na there are supposed to be limits in cinema also but then that’s just my wierd thoughts
