I have a different recipie for dehi bara and they come out really good.
take 1 cup mash ke daal or if you like more or less, doesn't maaters.
soak it for 2 hrs and then blend it into a a think paste.
Add salt and red chilly to your taste
if you like the ginger-garlic flavor, add 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste.
mix it well.
in a deep frying pan, heat the oil and then with a spoon start pouring the bara's pretty much like pakora's.
fry till both sides are golden brown.
Take a bowl of room tempersture water and soak the bara's till they are soft.
take the bara's out and press them lightly to get rid of excess water.
Wisk yougrt to whatever consistency you like. add salt to taste.
Lay the bara's in a dish, add yougurt and garnish with dahi bara masala or chaat masala or imli chutney, whatever you like :D
