about a month ago, a few of the middle east countries including UAE determined that ramadan would start on 11th august.

depends where in canada you're following :p calgary/edmonton i know follows saudi's sighting, so for them it's tomorrow. i don't know what ottawa's masjid's follow, but as for GTA, i'm waiting on the hilal committee's verdict, which should be in another 2 hours after they get their data
