Ramadan 1425 A.H. Qirat Schedule....

As announced earlier, we shall have some members who will recite for us a part of The Holy Quran.

We hope this will be a good opportunity for all of us to participate in this programme either in the reciting or listening. Both will be duly rewarded by Allah and the Holiness of this sacred month shall inshaallah add to the reward. And we also hope it shall be a good experience for all of us to improve our recitation of the Quran.

Following is the schedule for the recitation.

since the Islamic date varies across the globe, I shall use the Gregorian dates instead

17 Oct - mAd_ScIeNtIsT - Surah Al-Mulk
18 Oct - Janwar - Surah Al-Qalam Qirat done by armughal due to some problems with Janwar’s PC
19 Oct - Puchi Kuchi - Surah Al-Haaqa
20 Oct - Ma Mooli - Surah Al-Maarij recitation done by Ma Mooli’s sister
21 Oct - Nadia_H - Surah Nooh
22 Oct - ChaChoo - Surah Al-Jinn
23 Oct - The Hunk - Surah Muzzamil
24 Oct - Galaxy - Surah Al-Mudathir
25 Oct - Afia - Surah Al-Qiyamah
26 Oct - mAd_ScIeNtIsT - Surah Al-Insaan
27 Oct - Janwar - Surah Mursilaat - failed to record
28 Oct - irem - Surah Al-Nabaa
29 Oct - Ma Mooli - Surah Al-Naziaat
30 Oct - Nadia_H - Surah Al-Abas
31 Oct - ChaChoo - Surah Al-Takweer
01 Nov - The Hunk - Surah Al-Infitaar
02 Nov - Galaxy - Surah Al-Mutafifeen
03 Nov - Afia - Surah Al-Burooj
04 Nov - armughal - Surah Al-Tariq

Do I pick a surah or are they assigned ?

i think it is better if we stick to the Surah assigned....
wud be more harmonic i think....

if someone, however, has a problem with the length of the Surah assigned to him/her then recite from the Surah as much as u think is easy for u....
as Allah says in the Quran:
Quran 74:20
Read ye as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you);

we r all in need of improvement and inshaallah this shall be a good learning experience for all of us....

P.S. please re-check the list regularly as modifications r made to let new participants join in....

I bet your 5 year old will do better than me, I actually managed to recite the Quran with a British accent :(

Armughal, you've got me down for Sura Al-Layl on the 10th of November - but that's the day I'll inshallah be flying to Bahrain so I can't do that.

Could Afia's son take my place on that day?
