You need to know the background of this ad to appreciate it alig. The idea is to poke fun of south-indian movie star Rajnikanth, and also at the kind of entertainment south indians like. Rajni is basically south-india's Amitabh Bachan. His roles in movies usually include superhuman strength, time bending abilities, gravity defying physics and so on and so forth.

A disclaimer of my opinion first: indian movies are all incomprehensible and all ultra incredulous. There should be no distinction. They are of very low mentality, and comprise of little sophistication.
Secondly, I don't think they are trying to poke fun. Its the type of entertainment and overacting bollywood churns out and is loved by the folks who watch that dump.
I guess what I really was annoyed at, was the fact that they could have used a creative, much superior commercial with the amount of money they are spending. I see it from a multimedia point of view I suppose.

Yea, I'd say my opinion is just a tiny bit relevant. I've done my share in helping produce documentaries for National Geographic, Discovery and NBC in the field.
