mukesh
- Kahin dhoor jab din dhal jaaye
- Jis gali mein tera ghar na ho baalma
- Jab koi tumhare ridhe thor de.. tarapata hoowa jab koi chorde
- Meri Kashti tera toofan se wada kya hai
kishore
- Chook kar mere man ko
- chaand chura ke laaya hoon
- Zindagi ke safar mein
i sound like mukesh when i have a cold, which is like half the year. but then, if he werent so nasal, how'd he sound so sad and whiny in all the tragic numbers he sang.
IMO manna dey stands in the same category.
his song "laga chunri me daag" is unparallel.
not many singers can sing classical (raags etc) and filmi songs both lik him.

Pushpa is a simple village girl who is turned out of her house by her husband as she couldn't conceive. she meets a man in the village who takes her to Calcutta for a job. There she gets cheated by him and is forced to take shelter in a brothel.
Anand, a rich man of the city, is neglected by his ultra-modern wife. One day while waking through a red-light district, he hears a song and he is in love with the melodious voice so eventually he meets Pushpa, and they fall in love.
Also Nandu a child who has always been neglected comes to Pushpa and finds a mother in her. i don't remember anymore *
