Rafi, Mukesh & Kishore

No singer from today can match the mesmerising voices of these superb artists..

here are a few of my most memorable songs by these three:

rafi

  • Aaj mausam bara bemaan hai
  • Mile na phool tho kaanton se dost karli
  • Teri galiyon mein na rakhein gein kadam
    etc…

Mukesh is too nasal. Kishore's voice was lively. Rafi is a legend.

mukesh
- Kahin dhoor jab din dhal jaaye
- Jis gali mein tera ghar na ho baalma
- Jab koi tumhare ridhe thor de.. tarapata hoowa jab koi chorde
- Meri Kashti tera toofan se wada kya hai

kishore
- Chook kar mere man ko
- chaand chura ke laaya hoon
- Zindagi ke safar mein

u reckon? hmm i duno... mukesh is my favorite.. i love his voice

i sound like mukesh when i have a cold, which is like half the year. but then, if he werent so nasal, how'd he sound so sad and whiny in all the tragic numbers he sang.

^ exactly.. but then again Kumar Sanu is nasal too.. and i cant stand his voice!! except for that song he did ummm

cant remember the exact lyrics.. but its something like this

“..ghar se nikal aaya.. bottle bhi utah laya…aaj zinda hoon tho jee lene do.. haan je leene do, barhi barsaat mein pee lene do” :k:

kishore's chigari koi bhurke is a fabulos number

Muskesh was so nasal, even his kid turned out to be a nasal singer. I don't remember his name.

IMO manna dey stands in the same category.
his song "laga chunri me daag" is unparallel.
not many singers can sing classical (raags etc) and filmi songs both lik him.

Pushpa is a simple village girl who is turned out of her house by her husband as she couldn't conceive. she meets a man in the village who takes her to Calcutta for a job. There she gets cheated by him and is forced to take shelter in a brothel.

Anand, a rich man of the city, is neglected by his ultra-modern wife. One day while waking through a red-light district, he hears a song and he is in love with the melodious voice so eventually he meets Pushpa, and they fall in love.

Also Nandu a child who has always been neglected comes to Pushpa and finds a mother in her. i don't remember anymore *

oh is that the one with Shamila Tagore as the prostitute? havent seen it... just recalled a song

  • yep sharmila tagore *
