Yes, you can see on Wiki that Hassan Banna was heavily influenced by Salafis. There are some differences between Taliban and MB but they share similarities when it comes to jihad against West (in MB’s case it’s Israel) and imposing Shariah.

I mean I don’t even have to spell it out…it’s common sense. MB is not a Sufi organization nor they believe in Sufi saints like Rabia-Adawiya. 
They fall among the category of Islamist groups like Hamas, Taliban, Hezbollah and Salafis. Check it up on wiki.

It sounds like ‘some’ so called muslims are just bunch of idiots who have rigid ideas of how to practice Islam.
They live in several different made up boxes(sects) calling others living in different boxes wrong.
I am sufi, he is salafi, she is Sunni, they are Shia, no no he is deobandi, hmmm that guy may be alaawi, those are barelvi …and this ludicrous mindset is so ingrained in these people…they argue with each other.
Big question is how come these kind of hate phenomenon became so strong and vicious during the last few decades?

Could the MB’s ‘Sufiness’ be similar to LeJ in Pakistan? LeJ claims to be Deobandi which acknowledges Sufism in India but to an extent (as far as I know).
I don’t know much about MB or the region itself. A look at the wiki page said it is influenced both by Salafism and Sufism. Sounds pretty wonky to me, the two coming together seems paradoxical.

The founder of MB was influenced by Sufism at one stage of his life when he was a teenager…later on he adapted Salafi doctrine and then after the world war 2 made up his organization called MB to liberate muslims of middle East from Western forces and to enforce shariah.
The only Sufi aspect I see is that they’re not as much against shia as Taliban.

Also Salafis are funded by Saudi while MB is funded by Qatar. Both have juhadi mentality.

My post is quite relevant to the thread since throughout this thread and even in the post below mine someone is trying to relate different sectarian ideas to some bad groups.

If he was kattar in his beliefs I would imagine him to include Sufism as a ‘Western force’ lol. But then again I think most anti-Imperialist Muslim groups did not care about these technicalities so maybe he was indifferent.
Diwana I’m not really explicitly relating anything. I said they claim to follow those ideas and their leaders, but I’m positive those who they revere would condemn them for their actions.
