rangaRs are the people who migrated from Haryana, they speak haryanvi and live mostly in South Punjab. In the university days, people of Seraiki belt generally made fun of them, dont know why.

I think she is Jaat instead. just like saina nehwal, susheel kumar etc.
I have heard the word Raangar first time in maharashtra. it usually means a huge guy with gunda type personality.

sunny is a malhotra i.e. a khatri. most likely her ancestors migrated from pakistan to india and it is very unlikely that she is a jatt too.

Jaats are the real deal. They are the strongest people from the entire subcontinent. Look at the number of medals they have received in commonwealth games and olympics. Hryana has 2.5% of indian population but they won 37 % of the medals (37 medals out of 100 and mostly gold).

Dont know how true this is, but according to Wikipedia jatts moved from Sindh to Punjab and onwards to North India. I have always read that they were scythians,

i dont know the real differences between jatts and jaats. one thing is for sure, they all are kshatriyas.

In India, people are hindustani speakers, Pure urdu or pure hindi is just written while all of dialects are Hindustani besides, Awadhi,Braj,bhojpuri etc. haryanvis speak there own dialect of haryanvi:)

None of Jats are kshytriyas, one has to be vedic tribe to be kshytriya, Khatri word comes of sanskrit Kshatriya while Jats are peasent farmer who sneaked in India during 3AD, held the arable land of punjab and haryana and later that culminated them becoming warrior during Khalsa time, All sikh gurus were Khatri but foot soldiers were mostly jatt, later Maharaja Ranjit singh was also one of us.
