'raaj poot hein hem'

caste system in muslims. biradari kee batein. how do you handle that, when people sound self important speaking of their zaat?

Re: 'raaj poot hein hem'

Everyone is going to have some kind of pride in their background. Except for Mogul maybe. I have never heard anyone claim they are Mogul.

Who was that raaj put on GS who was dubbed "European Prince" by some shararti GS members?

Re: 'raaj poot hein hem'

People who take pride for belonging to some group, I feel sorry for them.
Its like admitting I have nothing worth mentioning about my self, so respect me for some else's accomplishments.

I do not pay attention to them.. simple!

Re: 'raaj poot hein hem'

I have seen it happen

i would think to myself..they are pathetic..but i wish i could say it too..

Re: 'raaj poot hein hem'

rajput hein hum!

Re: ‘raaj poot hein hem’

Munasib baat hai.
Koi harj nahi :k:

Quran majeed main Allah farmata hai ke hum ne tumhain Qabeloon our khandano main peda kia , pehchan ke leye.

Tribes and families played important buidling blocks of earlier day islamic society. Recognising one self with caste or knowing lineage , identity is good.

im ok with people who are proud of their caste but dont try to tell me ur more important then me just becoz there s rajput, syed, ansari, sheik, khan, malik in ur name

ur raj put? wow really? thats nice!:k:

welcome to the club

Loads of people in Pakistan claim to be muhgal (not mogul). He was Moin Pai!

Re: ‘raaj poot hein hem’

i find it so annoying specially when ppl start praising what cast they belong to and sumtimes they end up revealing what a big fool they are

like i remember thsi aunti who came to my house and she was like ke hum Bla bla(dont want to mention the cast) main biviyaan chahe jitn hoon ,affairs phir bhi hote hain  yeh fakhar karnay ke baat the?

Re: ‘raaj poot hein hem’

lol. i also tell them the same…that i am also rajput :hehe:

Abu ki side se mein bhi Rajput hoon..Janjua specifically. Rajputs are descended from Kshatriya (warrior) class of Hindus; I was really shocked to learn this but my dad confirmed it...many Rajputs became Sikhs but all were originally Hindus. Anyway it makes sense that Rajputs are warrior class, as all my relatives have fierce tempers lol

I am in agreement with Code. Even Prophet Mohammed was proud of the fact that he is Qureshi. Sense of belonging and taking pride in it, there is nothing wrong as long as you dont look down on the people outside your group

Re: 'raaj poot hein hem'

Caste system is a big thing in our families, like women are not allowed to marry out of caste etc etc, but islamically there are no such boundaries. Everyone can and its ok to group themselves by associating themselves with something from history, but using caste systems to show pride etc is just wrong in my opinion, especially when it comes to building relations with others.

i hope you both are talking about this specific ayat :

“Oh mankind” and it says that He Allah has "created you from a single source and has created you in nations and tribes, not that you may discriminate against one another, but that you may know one another. Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you

*Surah Hujarah (49) ayah 13.

*And the key point is … we shouldn’t discriminate among each other on the basis of ar color , creed and lineage …

which is unfortunately in common practice these days …

Re: 'raaj poot hein hem'

i agree with the thread originator. i have never told anyone that i am a rajput, and i probably never will add it to my name.

Re: 'raaj poot hein hem'

We are Rajputs also and it's unbelievable the sense of fake pride people from our area especially get out of it. I recognise my caste but don't stress upon it in my name (when writing it) or generally in life & it's deplorable when people start to look down on others if they are lets say Jatt's or Meerzaday (Marasi).
