Re: Quranic reference about prohibition of Alcohol
Look guys - there is no such thing as drinking without after effects. Whether it is one beer or a whole case, there is an impact.
I like a drink or two and I don't in the least bit feel guilty about it or for that matter any less near god.
But it is incrrect to claim one beer is nothing. The reason you take that one beer is precisely becaise there is an effect and you like it. Why else will you take it?
The problem here is if somehow you believe it is against god. If you believe that (I Don't) and still drink (whether 1 beer or more) then your conscience will nag you to stress.
Sunset: wth are you offended by what I said earlier?** I said drink if you want, don't drink if you don't!** What part of that is offensive? And why?
Because even though so many people have given their views and opinions on this topic - it seems its so casual for you to drink? Does anyone in your family drink? Do you read namaaz? Dont bother reading it becasue it defeats the purpose!!! So sad..so sad...so sad to see so called muslims involved in these wrongdoings!
