I would say an acquaintance did it one week after Nikah. Family and I went to Nikah, and everyone was happy. We showed up to shaadi a week later at a hotel ballroom, got a call to go back, shaadi has been cancelled. Never really found out why, just gossip. The bride’s family did go all out for all the pre shaadi events, and I was looking forward to the dinner and such. Not sure how the legal side of this works, probably annulled the wedding in court since it was less than 30 days after the Nikah.
Second quickest would be 1 month after rukhsati, but that is pretty common, isn’t it?

The only one I can think of in my family is 30 days. The guy turned out to be some lying psycho NY cabbie. Needless to say, the girl remarried and is SO happy. She has a daughter and amazing in-laws as well hubby.

Around a week. The bride was absolutely ecstatic on the shaadi day.. was an arranged marriage.. appeared that they bride and groom had interacted before the wedding so don’t understand what went wrong and where..
Apparently on the honeymoon the guy told her that he only married her cos its what his dad wanted but he was actually in love with someone else
Needless to say the marriage ended.

I don't get it. Bride's family kept a very critical medical condition hidden, and that is not supposed to be a big deal? Makes you wonder what else they were hiding.
A little of both…they were introduced by mutual family friends, and talked, met, “dated” for a few months before the baat pakki…and then had a two year engagement. The groom was a good friend of my husband, and though I didn’t know the bride very well, my best friend’s sister was friends with her sister, so I was both sides of the story. I remember my husband and I were leaving for Pakistan the next day after the wedding…we kept saying how something wasn’t right, the groom looks upset…so my hubby said “I’ll talk to him when we get back, he should be fine…” Ha! By the time we got back from our trip, the dude was already divorcing! The whole situation was quite ridiculous! And you know how the saying goes "there’s your version, my version and the TRUTH! Lol!

**no doubt, the bride's parents made a grave mistake but it's just a medical condition and is fully controllable with medication and care. this should never be a grounds for immediate divorce.
the guy should have had more patience and should have talked to the in-laws regarding the matter as to why they kept her condition a secret from him.
besides, he was extremely cruel in divorcing her on the spot instead of taking care of her during her the epileptic seizure. there is a proper Islamic procedure governing the divorce procedure. he should have divorced her over a three month period to give himself some cooling period.**

Supported her decision and she got divorced in less than a week. Her reasoning was the guy (desi guy) was oversexed. Any man would be if he sees her though. ;) Go figure. She never got married, since people came to know the story.
