There's no need to open new threads when you're discussing the same topic. If there are any more parts, please add them on to this thread than starting another one.

prophets were as human as any of us and if they cud be patient why not the rest of us????
prophets were sent as examples to us, that if they, geing human, can do all that, then there is no reason why others shud fail to do so....

All the prophets who are discussed in our Quran were givien some kinda miracle except our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Issa ( jesus) could heal people ,bring dead to life ,Musa (Moses) could talk to Allah apart the ocean ,turn his stick into snake and there are alot more examples. And i read somewhere but i'm not sure about the authenticity that there was a time when our Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) sliced the moon in to two piece just to show non believers that he was the messenger of god. and plus our Prophet was taken to mirage and was shown the future.
so i think prophets are not like normal people like us.If they got those powers i'm sure they must have had high tolreance in every aspect.
We are the people who just got a blind faith in Allah n his messenger. So i think Allah should be a lil more kind when it comes to patience and the punishment.

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

^ miracles r done by Allah , not by prophets....

when Isa (as) cured the lepers and brought back the dead to life, it was done by Allah not by Isa (as)....

when Muhammad (saw) showed the splitting of the moon to the disbelievers, it was split by Allah....

all miracles r done by Allah and prophets have no power on their own to make a miracle happen....

mr armughal
Almost 13000 posts.. and such an intellectual level.. I am not here to make a personal attack.. but come on.. Shouldnt you be wiser than this keeping the fact in mind that a lot of your time has ben spent in mass communication over the internet with a very diverse community..?
Anyways I guess you are suggesting that all these miracles were done by god.. and the prohpets had nothing to do with them..Huh? I guess you are right.. everything is done by god.. nothing moves an inch without His command.. So i hope you dont get mad at me for classifying your comments full of ignornace .. as it wasnt me who typed all of this.. GOD made me do it!

Note: This is my first post.. so i wont mind a warm welcome

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

Hmm...why isn't a sense of duty on the list? You know...gratitude while fulfilling an obligation. Debt of life...that sort of thing...

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

I think.. religions are made up.. they are there for us to blame philosophies of life we cant explain... for instance.. a hurricane season like in the year 2005 would have been considered a curse from God abt a 100 years ago... Today its known to man that its the Atlantic cyclic change that caused the fatalities.. So what are we to say at this point... The more knowledge we gain the more we could reason and find the causes... Its to be noted that we only use about 8-10% of our brain.. And its only getting better as time moves on.. (example we know more at this point than our forefathers) .... its only a matter of time where we evolve further more...and get to a point were we could over clock our brains.... Maybe then it will be clear ... about the existence of God and the so called "obligations" associated with the various versions of his interesting religions!

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

Read any religious text and it becomes obvious that the primary topic of discourse is not nature, or why things work they way they do. In fact, the allegories used ofen show a clear-cut apathy towards a naturalistic view of the world.

Of course, some try hard to disbelieve, so whatever rocks your boat.

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

ok.. answer one question.. Since GOD has tried and communicated with us by various books and prophets... we should have a lot of info abt him...So if the world couldnt have started off on its own... then how come God did..where did he come from?

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

Hahahaha....
your opinion is greatly appreciated but there are alot of people who'll be offended by your remarks cuz not all the people here are open minded like you and i .i believe all of us has doubts but are scared to even think or express about it cuz we think God gonna punish us for such thinking so please becareful people can get hostile on ur remarks but i woundn't *
*my primary question was not regarding the existance of god but the rules set by him .

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

Muali, I am not afraid to question God because He knows my intentions, if I don't find something satisfactory I believe I have all the rights atleast to ask question. I do not think by questioning like this I am commiting any crime or sin.

Hahahaha you are warmly welcomed. You do have interesting point of view (quite liberating actually relieves me from all the obligations).

Before joining this forum i read the rules and i read the threads to find out wat kinda people are here and i found most of them conservative mind thas why i was telling HAHAHAHA that be a lil bit careful cuz he can get banned just like others who expressed their opinion thinking they could talk openly. if he'll get banned we'll all lose one open minded person's opinion.
light Bearer i've read most of ur post i greatly admire your views cuz i respect open mind people and freedom of speech and u seems to be one of them . i'll bring more question which i'm not afraid to ask and i would like your opinion on that too.

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

thanx:)

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

dont u think the rules wouldnt matter if he didnt exist...

as far as questioning his existence goes... i think that will not make me a "non beliver" i suppose god wants u to love him (is he exists) ... i dont think his ultimate goal is to scare u.... if u think u shouldnt question out of fear... well than i guess u r wasting ur time.. reading His books... after all its his given brain that makes u think the way u do ..doesnt it? so whats ur fault in it... as armughal stated everything is done by god!

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

Thank u Light Bearer ...i am glad there is one person on this forum who do welcome people... ironically .. he is not religious... hmmmm... now should i say more!

Come on mullas welcome me!

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

I heard and read on many occasions that " What ever u do or will do god know about it god knows your intentions and god knows what u gonna do"
if thas they case then i think we dont have a choice cuz choices have already been made and he chose it for u , then howcome if we gonna commit and sin we'll get punished for that where as he already knew that thas what we are going to do? cuz he made that choice for us already.
tha dosen't make any sense!!! what do think?

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

Muali I have already asked this question once in another thread but did not get satisfactory answer.

Re: Questions which need answers? (merged)

yup..just like he allready knows.. if we will get banned from this site or not.. so whats the point in worrying... its funny that mullas belive in this nonsense... and then they go on to question christains ... if jesus died for ur sins.. why do u have to pray.. its the same deal.... if u allready know ur fate .... why worry... if god has allready both me a mansion in heaven or a ditch in hell.. why should i loose sleep over it... thats why i dont think .. everything is allready planned..by him... and if it is... then sorry god.. but it aint cool!

How much do we need?

So if the world couldnt have started off on its own... then how come God did..where did he come from?

[/quote]

Why presumes the Creator needs a creation? If indeed the whole concept of linear progression was created by the Creator, then clearly the Creator lies outside the confines of what we would consider a natural lifecycle for an entitty confined to the boundries of this universe.

Often, you'll find the purpose of fora such as this is to provide a space for (more or less) like-minded people to converse. Try going to a right-wing site and slaming the pres or the war...it's remarkable how quick comments get deleted.

If you don't like being on a forum which is moderated, then perhaps it is best that you leave and not waste any of our time rather than go on about censorship and what not.

Re: Questions which need answers ?

Fear may be taken as a Eupahnism, but is meant to cannote the fact that God is ever aware of what you do, and so one needs to be mindful that their actions will be judged.

Fear of disappointing a beloved is a very real fear, but does not carry the same meaning as, say, fear of a monster or rabid animanl.
