You begin by saying “unlike religions” and you end by saying “doesn’t mean atheist groups do not exist”.
In the very same vein as your argument above…all religious people do not necessarily share the same beliefs and are not necessarily united…very much the same as atheists.

It’s a common lack of belief yet every atheist will have a different reason for reaching the belief “god does not exist.” They however all believe that God does not exist and everything from there could vary greatly!

I will save a response to this because no doubt it will simply be dismissed as a justification of what the prophet (saw) did…

respectfully…your objection to being asked a million questions is starting to grate on me…did you expect any different? if I were a part of a predominantly hindu or catholic board, I would expect to constantly be asked questions…some quite offensive I believe and I would do my best to address them…just as you normally do…but I wouldn’t whine about it.

True, I should stop answering. I am not whining about it. If I cared so much I could just stop responding altogether. I am just a tad bit hypocrite i suppose and I am enjoying it.. it’s getting annoying though having to answer so many questions but it’s like the hang-up game we play when we are in love, “you hang up…no you hang up…no you..” lol :d

I can’t believe that anyone here is “imposing” their beliefs on you. How can that be? We are in a virtual world here. Unless of course something someone is saying is making you question yourself…

HAHA…I take my GS Desi fellow members to be smarter than myself so sure some of you have indeed made me question myself.

And I don’t think that you can say atheism is different from our religion because those that call themselves atheists are “believe” that there is no God…right? Isn’t that in and of itself a “system”? No matter what portal or experience or thought process brought you there, this is one thing that you share in common, no?

and this is probably where most similarities end..

So what would you do if we said that Bob, your uncle, who is also an atheist, killed an intruder in his home in cold-blooded murder? Would you reply in the same way or would you explain to me that the guy he murdered was actually someone that had invaded his home and was threatening him? And how would you feel I turned around and said, “Oh sure…that’s a justification…Bob’s just an idiot and you don’t want to admit it. Bob could have called the authorities…etc.”

By the same token, whenever an explanation is provided for the bloodshed that has occurred at the hands of Muslim leaders, sahabas, prophets, etc, the explanation is written off as justification.

Sorry…that’s just oversimplification.

There’s a big difference between bloodshed caused by sheer stupidity of our leaders and someone being killed by mistake. Even then I wouldn’t kill an intruder..Maybe knock him out with a bat or something.

You are taking me to some nonviolent saint or something. I am not exactly Gandhi either. I do believe some violence is unavoidable but war is taking it to a whole another level.
