Trust us Pakis to make an issue out of a non issue.
There is no way you can go around correcting everyone who uses the term ‘Paki’, it’s too much hassle, it’s here to stay and anyway it sounds way cooler than Pakistani, so instead of trying to get away from it reclaim it, next time someone says Paki, turn around and say “too right I am, and I’m damn proud of it” because all it means is Pakistani and that’s what we are, no matter how much people deny it roots matter and in our lifetimes brown people will never be completely British, whilst your at it get one of them StarCrescent body tops with Paki wrote on it as well, I’ve seen your pics and masha allah we need people like you to strengthen the cool Paki image, everything we have should be an asset to our religious and national identities, even if it’s good looks we can use them to tell people that Pakis are goodlooking people.
Paki is an abreviation of Pakistani, we are Paki just as someone from Kazakhstan is Kazakh, Afghanistan is Afghan, Tajikistan is Tajik, Uzbekistan is Uzbek and so on.
The first Paki immigrants probably felt insulted by it because they didn’t know English and thought it meant something derogerotary due to the hateful tone of those saying it or maybe they had a serious inferiority complex and vanted to be Britash through and through and didn’t want to be associated with their land of origin which probably gave the word ‘Paki’ negative connotations, I’ve known some younger generation Coconuts who have a self lothing attitude and try being white but it’s not happening because whether they keep their culture or not they’ll be the same in the eyes of the white man, nothing is going to change their brown skin so they may as well embrace their Pakistani/South-Asian heritage and be proud of it so that others will respect them (obviously they should be bicultural and not cut themselves off from British society). White people don’t always admit it but they’d give anything to have our radiant brown skin and have our vibrant culture over their own dull boring one.
