Is it true that the “iman” of a woman is weaker than that of a man?
i am sorry but - where in the Quran does it state this (surah name and verse number would be appreciated).

Actually there is truth in that and one may refer to the authenticated seerah or hadis - the FOUNDATION of our sunni faith.
The molvi who told you that, his iman is weaker than that of most women.

i dunno bout truth... its probably a misguided interpretation...
blinded ppl, straihtaway accuse molvis of preaching such things....
i have never heard of any such thing from any verse or hadith, nor from any scholar....
and those of u who blame sunnis to believe, just open the hadith books and u'll see that a huge number of them have been reported by ayesha (ra), wife of the prophet (sa)....
so if sunnis doubted women's faith, no one wud be considering these hadith right....
but u blinded ppl just have to accuse without any reason.
armughal, you have a pattern of popping into threads damanding proof and when proof is given you either vanish or say “it’s just like that”.. at least read up on your religious books before you open your mouth..
so here again is the proof .. from hadith literature (no surprises there).
**Bukhari Volume 1, Book 6, Number 301: **
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
Once Allah’s Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o 'Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, “Why is it so, O Allah’s Apostle ?” He replied, “You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.” The women asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?” He said, “Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?” They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn’t it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, **“This is the deficiency in her religion.” **
PA... i dont understand how that hadith means that our Iman is weaker than that of a man?
if women are to walk around covered from head to toe.. just so the eyes of a man do not start wondering.. doesnt it mean that a man's iman is weaker?

raed the Quran... dont rely on hadiths (or PA and armughal)... Quran is farz... and Hadiths is sunna...

the way Islam is being taught today... more and more people are relying on the hadith.. rather than the Quran.. which is in the purest form.... soon no one will know what the real Islam is...
thaz why i was saying... refer to the Quran.. not to the hadith, cus the hadith contradicts itself in many places.. and not all are genuine
