Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

Do Gulfies respect Pakistani Mullahs that go to Gulf countries? I have Arab friends here in New York and they hate Pakistani Mullahs and an Arab would rarely offer prayers lead by a Pakistani Molvi. Why is that?

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

They may think that the mullah is qadiyani or smofin prolly.

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

Liar... how can they may 'think'? with what?

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

hey you have the arab "friends" why not just ask them :)

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

Here in Churches, of all denominations, you can see Priests from different countries giving masses. Have you ever seen any Pakistani Molvi leading prayers for Arabs? Or in an Arab mosque?

Do you really think that Kaba mosque may have a Pakistani Molvi delivering Khutba for Hajj? Or leading prayers in Masjid-e-Nabwi? They have had Palestininians do that in the past, but never will they let a Pakistani molvi do that. That’s how much respect Pakistanis have in the eyes of the Arabs. So much for Ummah.

Fraudz.. I have asked them and they tell me that Pakistani Molvi is clueless.

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

I have seen many paki Imams leading the prayer within Arab countries. In Yemen I have seen and heard of many!. and forget about Saudi they wont even let anyone who is not of the Saud family deilver the kituba for hajj or in the haram.

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

There are a total of 3 Pakistanis in Yemen. What the hell are you on? Khatt? Are Yemeni women allowed to go inside mosques?

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

Most importantly, what is "khatt"?

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

qadiyani scholars have more knowledge than other mullahs.. and ofcourse qadiyanis are muslims too just like sunni MUSLIM or shia MUSLIM…same way..

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

Yes, they are quite a few Pakistani maulvis leading prayers in Saudi Arabia. It's not that rare and Arabs are okay with it.

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

i lead prayers in the university often....
and sometimes even in mosques....

many mosques have pakistani, indian and bangladeshi muezzins and imams here....

and no one bothers about such a thing....
ofcourse there r always hard-headed ppl who wud act like this....
i've seen some pakistanis too who refuse to pray behind an arab....

and frozenfire, qadiyanis r not muslims....

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

frozenfire my friend... you have come up with the joke of the century

qadyani scholars hahaha... and the second bit about them being muslims lol that takes the cake

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

PCG, if you don’t know what Qaat (or Khatt) is, you need a lot to learn. Lalalalala … PCG doesn’t know what Qaat is. You will like it if you ever tried it.

I didn’t ask if there are any Paki Imams in the Persian Gulf region, the question is that why don’t Arabs pray behind them? And what does that tell you? It’s funny that you will worry about Qadiyannis but take blatant disrespect from your Arab Ummah. I don’t think that Pakis are considered even muslims by their Arab brothers.

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

many ‘gulfy’ pakistanis are not very well-off and are often employed by MEasterners in thier local businiesses…that should explain it…i doubt u’ll see the same trend in university mosques, as ahmadjee mentions…
its not just a schism based on race, so dont try to make it out to be one…the Ummah concept doesnt get refuted that easily…:flower1:

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

Are you saying that those who are not well off cannot be Imams? That’s very interesting to know. I learn something new every day on Gupshup.

First PCG not knowing what Qaat is, and now this. So much learning in just one topic. I am totally amazed and overwhelmed.

I know that there have been plenty of Paki lecturers in the Haram Sahreef but don't know about Imam or Muedhin but I do know of quite a few mosques where Arabs pray behind a Afghan, Paki and Indian Imams.

Some Pakis have horrible prnouncitaion though, they have no sense of 7a or 3in amongst other aplhabet letters which they prnounce way of mark, I'd rather pray behind somone (Paki or Arab) who doesn't change the meaning of what he's suppose to be saying, then there's the Paki Imams who have dodgy beleifs and practices.

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

Ranjhan, what place and which city are you talking about? Because it is certainly not Saudi Arabia because there you have to be certified by Taif College (don't know what it is called in Arbi) to be an Imam. Imams in Saudi Arabia are "paid" government employees. I don't know what the laws are in other gulf countries. If you are talking about a passing Afghan or Pakistani Imam somewhere in desert and people line behind him to pray, then may be yes.

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

because arabs,{edit} they have superiority complex plus the fact they are so racist against southasians in particular.

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

surely you did not take my comments to be some serious debate did you?

Re: Question to Pakistani Muslim living in the Persian Gulf

Fraudz, your comments were incorrect on technical grounds. Saudis will not worry about Qadiyanis leading prayers, as they will first ask “who let them in the country”.

It is my understanding that Imams in Saudi Arabia have to have blessing of the Taif College (some sort of degree – the qualification is not given to Shias, but they can lead prayers only in certain mosques in the Eastern province) to be able to lead prayers. If anyone thinks that’s not the case, please correct me. Secondly, If an Imam is on vacation (an elder or a trainee Imam can lead prayers, and I have heard that sometimes non-Saudis are allowed to do that… but after a long winded background checks by the religious ministry).
