Yeah your wrong. The Kashmiris were promised a Plebicite by Nehru. India is a democracy. Why don't the Kashmiris have their basic, human right that can not be denied to vote for what they want in life?

Pakistan, India or Independence. Whatever the Kashmiris decide will be fine with Pakistan. We just want the Plebicite to be held.

[mod]now this is a very sensitive topic and ppl always turn it into a India Pakistan argument, but there are some new things that are coming out of this thread, for one i did not know that J&K was divided into 3 parts etc. so plzzz keep the discussion civil, and plzz express your point of you but plzz no attacks or hateful comments specially against countries, communities or religion.

So in a way, what you are saying is that people who have been oppressed, have got 1000s of grievances, and are now extremely discontented with the authorities oppressing them - Should learn to fight their own way out of it all??? And so calling anyone in from the outside for support, now calls for a foul and red card in his game???

However India did this very thing in 1971, by "helping" (actually arming) the Mukti Bahini rebels in Bengal... So what's wrong if Pakistan arms every Kashmiri?

Somehow, I feel that what you are saying, is a very naive way of thinking. Or, a childish ploy to turn off the support for the cause (which is making India blood)... Either way, is will never work. Just like the entire Muslim world felt about Palestine, Chechnya, and Bosnia, so too is the case with Kashmir...

OK thanks to this thread we have gotten lessons about geography and demographics of kashmir , problems in pakistan but still not a single word about how the indian posters feel about indian forces killing protesters

Nobody in their right mind can support any kind of killings of innocent people regardless of what politics or history there is behind it all.

Send a note to the Indian govt...many of their ministers are available via Twitter these days and are happy to answer your questions. How can we answer...we are just ordinary people trying to live a regular life :(.

That's correct. But the stone pelters on the street acting like civilians but then tossing stones at officers.. are not innocent.

The officers should be able to DISCIPLINE them. If the exchange is resorted to extreme violence then death can occur on either side.

This is not about Pakistan, this is about India queer please stay on topic.

Since india is such a democracy why dont they provide Kashmiri people the right to choose, and let the international and Pakistani observers see that the referendum is carried out transparently ( india is known for its corruption and dirty politics ) as one of their leader nehru promised.

Why indians are so blindly believing in killing people of kashmir and not giving them any freedom?

and then they keep on building dams in Kashmir, india is literally a sucker sucking of the people its killing. while depriving the Kashmiri people of all the benefits of those power projects.

@sharabee: that is a pretty idiotic solution. Since you act so liberal and open minded this makes you look foolish.

The solution is simple, let Kashmiri people decide their own destiny, and not kill them all the time.

Give the Kashmiris the right to decide their own destiny. India as a democracy should know all about that :rolleyes:
