I think this forum full of them. There is a Pakistani girl who il like very much. I have never seen so pretty girl in my life. I try to talk with her, but she dont show no interest. Again i try, she shove me. I thought may be because i am not attractive. During our chritsmas party i talk to her again, and she start laughing. I got hurt. What i do not understand that she talk to everybody in office. My job in IT, so lot of indians and pakistanis. She talk to everyone.and not me. I then talk to my friend in Server Support, and he tell me that is because i amFOB. I dont know what that mean, so i ask him, and he tell me that FOB is fresh of the boat. Is it true that ABCDs doesnt like FOBS. Yesterday someone with name FOB wirte and everyone make fun of him in this forum, so i am curious. Thank you

As mahnoor says, it's probably best if you forget about this girl because she is simply biased against recently immigrated people, or people from Back Home in general.
There is a kernel of truth behind it - often, desi people who are raised in the West have a different mentality and set of expectations from desi people raised Back Home.
This makes such ABCDs decide that they would not want to marry someone from Back Home, because they have different ideas about the way things are done.
It is almost impossible to make such a person change their mind. I therefore recommend, as Mahnoor did, that you try and move on with your life.

ABCD's look down upon people recently come over from Pakistan/India (FOB's), because they think these people are uneducated and jaahil.
Don't get hurt by it. I think people in Pakistan and India also look down upon ABCD's. You guys think these people are not very religious, are all whoring around, doing very bad things, don't know the first thing about their culture, are all snobby, etc.

no no she is nice. modest and nice. itjust hurt so much because she will not give me time because of who i am. That why i am counfused. if she is nice, then good behanviour is expect from her. When i came first, i didnt know fashion good. but that is no hard to imitate. so, what is problem?

It’s not a matter of religious values. Often I find ABCDs who are more religious than people back Home.
It’s cultural values. The position of a woman in society is different in the western culture ABCDs grow up in, even whilst still adhering to religious value of Islam.
Many ABCD girls expect that they would be treated differently by a ACBD guy than by a guy from back home. They also expect that an ABCD’s family would treat her differently to from back home. Generally, guys from back home also have a different overall attitude to ABCDs, and ABCD girls prefer the ABCD attitude.
Also, some girls are downright shallow and find the accent of recent immigrants to be a turn-off.

i am sure you have figured out by now that this has been a troll. But i will include you guys on my buddy list. You are awsome. I picked the topic to see who the nice folks were, and at no time did i harbor any grudge and animosity for "recent immigrants" C'on our fathers were FOBs too then.
