I had a really scary and weird dream today - I saw myself getting shot my someone..and after that i saw that I died and my spirit was out of my body, yelling that I died…and tried to tell everyone that i was no more I saw my youngest chacha coming in my room and i told him (he has a surprised look on his face) I was really scared and then i saw my brother coming to my room and i just hugged him and started crying out loud; Then i ran to my parents room who were sleeping and told them that i died…I saw my mother following me trying to figure out what happened and when she saw my body she was confused but by that time i was so scared that i forced myself to wakeup. I rarely have dreams…but was this just a random dream or does it mean anything; can anyone please tell?
I also wanted to know the meaning of seeing eels in your dream.
i think its just a random thing and that ur brain was in "overdrive" while u were asleep...most dreams don't mean much. if u see a repeat of more or less the same thing then u may worry and try to interpret. interpretation is not an exact science so its meaning only gets confirmed "after the fact" in retrospect. take it easy, relax and let it go.
With the total words of Allah, I seek protection from His wrath, from His punishment and from the servants evil and from the whispers of Satan and I seek protection from (these) coming to me.

On having a good dream, recite:
“Alhamdulillah” and relate it to an intimate companion of understanding (So that the companion does not interpret the dream badly). If a person has a bad dream, then spit three times over the left shoulder and turn to the other side or stand up to perform Salaat reciting the following dua three times:
^ Jazakallah. I read another hadith that said only 1/30th of dreams are true or prophetic, majority are from subconscious thoughts or promptings of the devil. Best to read Ayat al Kursi and four Quls before going to bed, Surah al-Mulk and Surah al-Sajida/Fussilat are also meant for recitation before sleeping.
Allah knows best.
^Isn't that the one we read in Witr prayers? Theres this other Dua thats supposed to render people Mo'mins throughout the night if they recite it before sleeping and if they die in their sleep, they die in a state of Fitrah...also protects from calamities and nightmares. I don't know how to write the arabic form, but it goes like this:
Allahumma aslamtu nafsee ilayka, wa fawadhtu amree ilayka, wa wajahtu wajhee ilayka, wa aljahtu dhahree ilayka, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilayka, laa maaljaa wa laa manja minka illaa ilayka, Amantu bikitaabika lazee anzalta wa binabiyika lazee arsalta
"O Allah, I submit myself to You and I entrust all my affairs to You. Toward You, I turn my face and lay myself down depending upon You, hoping in You and fearing You. There is no refuge against You and there is refuge only in You. I believe in Your Book that you revealed, and the Prophet whom you sent." (Related by Bukhari and Muslim)
you can allow a living person to pray for you, and you can pray for dead people
just remember not to pray to dead people, or allow prayers to dead people on your behalf. only pray to Allah subhanahuwata'ala and call only to Allah subhanahuwata'ala for help
Okay, thank you…I am not that bothered about it now as i was yesterday.
Good Information thank you - Its not a false dream though, it happened as i stated above, I normally don’t have any dreams and when i do i don’t even remember them but this one i did.
I normally do recite Ayat-ul-kursi but i have stopped since a few days (but thats only a break).
You are right sorta.
Okay jee.
Perhaps, thats the reason why i wanted to know whether it meant something or not.
