Here is a question that I have been wondering about..
When new spread of the Koran being flushed down a toilet just about every Muslim country in the world protested in one way or another, even Malasia.
But where were the Indian Muslims? Did they stand up for the faith aswell? I didnt hear anytng about it..

for showing your hatred and sadness towards the issue, we dont need to shout and kill eachother to show that we r protesting,
it must be considered bad from the heart with in, which is the main thing,
as in some hadith it comes that when u see something bad if u have power to stop it, then stop it, and if u can't do anything for wot's happening just consider bad from the heart,,
and in INDIA its a hindu govt and its a hindu country not a muslim country who will supoort muslim for such protests like in pak and afghan and other countries,
if u carry out protest in INDIA the 1st thing the police does is to jail the youths without any warrant and with out any excuse , so in this way u just losse ur youth behind the bars and this is wot the opposition wants!!!!

protests in india arent all that civil either. but india isnt a country where america is senselessly hated (it is not liked, but the reasons are mostly socialist than ooo war on islam bull). nor is it run by a publically hated puppet goverment of the US.

pakistanis arent political. period. they cant even elect their own goverment for crying out loud. running and burning KFCs upon hearing of a quran desecration isnt being politicized.

Most Muslims in Pakistan are very political. Go to any mosque, much of the Khutbas are about the state of the Muslim world, pakistans foreign policy etc etc. Who do you see more then anyone else out on the steets protesting every little thing tat hapens either domestically or abroad? Muslim parties!
Even outside the country, Pakistani mosques are often tinged with politics... One of my Indian friends was surprised to find how often the Khutba in Pakistani , mosques in NY go from religion to politics.. Being a minority, Muslims in India seem to be far less political then those in Pakistan...

There are muslim parties where they are in majority. The Indian union Muslim league has a minister in the present govt.
They usually win three seats.. but this time the communist pick them to the post. More over this party have a sizable following in another 5 loksabha seats.
Then there is the party from Hyderabad.. something --- Ovaisi. again they also determine the outcome to some another 5 seats. Besides there is a large clout of Muslim vote bank politics in Indias two major contributers to seats in the parliament, UP and Bihar. Here the two Yadavs, Mulayam, and Lallo formed the yadav-muslim votes to a great affect. Its ironic that they came together as yadav is the caste associated with lord Krishna.

pakpatriot, khutba on pak foreign policy? we have such stuff only in baber shops in india. in india, muslims go to mosques to pray. when they need to brush up on their political views, they take up newspapers, watch TV, listen to the radio at the tea stall.
on another note, political thought dissipation thru mullahs in mosques in pakistan might explain the rabid anti americanism, and the KFC murders, and why pakistanis are incapable of governing themselves.

Im talking about Pakistani Muslims. Islam and politics are very closely intertwined in Pakistan. This isnt a good thing, but its reality in Pakistan.
Anti Americanism in Pakistan is much more complex then that. Even moderates who arent that religous, and dont listen to the Mullah except for comedy relief, are often anti America. I mean anti Americanism is rabid everywhere these days, even in Europe. Im begining to think its stronger in Europe these days then it is in Pakistan! Mullahs play no small part but American policy in general has a bigger role.
Take how Pakistan has been used and abused by America over and over. The invasion of Afghanistan was excusable, but people were infuriated by the Iraq debacle. Then you have the Palestine issue, less said the better. So Mullahs arent the only reason people have anti American feelings. Such things have stronger impact on Pakistanis because again, we are a very politicized society.
There are KFC all across Pakistan, and none of those have been attacked. The KFC in Karachi just happend to be right next to the Mosque that had been attacked the day before. Who can explain a mob, surely not India!
Indian Muslims are far less visible on the political scene. They seem to be silent observers to everything that goes on.
One thing that was interesting was the lack of protest amongst Muslims in India when the comprise the largest and fastest growing minority in India. They are also the largest Muslims population in the world.
Take for example the India-Israel relation, why do Indian Muslims not object to that when clearly Israel has been responsible for many abuses. And dont tell me Indian muslims are in any way partial to Israelis, because I have met many Indian Muslims who are more rabidly anti semetic then any Pakistani…
Even in Kashmir, at the height of the uprising when it was clear that India was commiting human rights violations, where were the Indian Muslims to hold their govt accountable?
I mean, its laughable when Indians ask why Indian Muslims arent represented in that otherwise useless gathering of Islamic nations they have every year…
