KARACHI: A man killed his wife in a quarrel over Eid shopping at his home within the limits of Baloch Colony police station on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the wee hours of Saturday at her house located at House No A-158, Ghazali Road, Manzoor Colony. SHO Haider Zaidi told Daily Times that 25-year-old Asma was killed by her husband Qamar Abbas. Both husband and wife belonged to the Kashmiri Butt family and were cousins. They got arranged married some four to five months ago. SHO Zaidi further said Abbas’ father brought him to the police station after the incident took place. Abbas is estate agent by profession and runs his agency in Phase II, Defence.

The officer quoted Abbas’ statement as saying that when he reached home, his wife asked him to take her for Eid shopping. “I was too tired so I told her that I would take her for Eid shopping on Monday but she insisted again,” the accused told the police. “On refusal we quarreled and I shoved my wife away, on which she fell down and was unconscious.” The accused further said that he rushed her to the JPMC where doctors pronounced her dead before reaching the hospital.

The SHO further said that the accused was defending himself by saying that it was an accident but the police is investigating the case as the victim has been arrested. The officer added that the doctors have reserved her postmortem report and it is premature to say about her pregnancy. However, the police have registered FIR number 355/09 under Section 42/302 on behalf of the victim’s cousin as none of her family member was available in the city and have started further investigation. staff report

It is NOT an accident when u find the need to shove your wife to the floor and break her neck cuz she dared to ask you for eid clothes and you were "too tired" !

Above situation could have been other way round too... u know what i mean.
Anyway lesson to be learnt from this accident for wives is:
Dont ask for shopping when hubby is tired. Wait for the day/time he promises to you. Nagging can lead to death.
Lesson for husbands :
Try to convince the lady either by talking to her OR by keeping quite OR go to bedroom LOCK the door and say u need to take rest for an hour. Will talk to her after freshening up. She will understand. But plz do not plain kill her to shut her mouth.
Lesson Learnt is : Marriage is Injurious to health !

Who knows what the fight was about. Eid shopping is most likely a cover up. Anyway bottom line is, a woman is DEAD!
