I thought they were called Teetar, my nana jaani use to have a Bater when I was younger, it didn’t even have a proper cage we kept it in a cloth basket, I remember it to be really small compared to the quails I’ve seen nowadays. Quail eggs taste nice by the way.
What’s that other bird called? It’s black and it can be taught to speak but it’s not a parrot.

kala teetar? A teetar in english is a partridge. Both look the same to me, dunno what the difference is.

I never found the Urdu or punjabi for Turkey..would like to add to my knowledge if someone comes up with an answer..

^ bhai koi aisa word batao that we actually use for turkey in urdu. The word you gave feel-murgh is never heard of and is not used by anyone.
