Quaid e Azam's statements on Palestine/Israel issue

Quaid was an ardent supporter of Palestine. He was not a mullah, and actually was hated by most religious folks like Jamate Islami and Khaksaars.
But he was a Muslim to his heart. He saw the injustices done on Muslims of Palestine and he stood up in their support.

These are some direct quotes from Quaid’s speeches:

http://www.dialognow.org/node/view/1229
**“May I point out to Great Britain that this question of Palestine, if not fairly and squarely met, boldly and courageously decided, is going to be the turning point in the history of the British Empire. I am sure I am speaking not only of the Mussalmans of India but of the world, and all sections of right thinking and fair-minded people will agree when I say that Great Britain will be digging its grave if she fails to honour her original proclamation, promises and intentions-pre-war.” **

MA Jinnah’s Presidential Address at the Lucknow Session of the All-India Muslim League (15 to 18 October, 1937).

“The way in which the British Government have hitherto dealt with the Arabs is the greatest blot on their national honour.”

M A Jinnah on British Government’s Policy (New Times, November 27, 1938).

“But no nation, no people who are worth living as a nation, can achieve anything great without making great sacrifices, such as the Arabs of Palestine are making. All our sympathies are with those valiant martyrs who are fighting the battle of freedom against usurpers.”

MA Jinnah’s Presidential Address at the Annual Session
of the All India Muslim League held at Patna (26-29 December, 1938).

“If President Roosevelt, under the pressure of the powerful world Jewry, commits the blunder of forcing the British Government to do injustice to the Arabs in Palestine, it will set the whole Muslim world ablaze from one end to another. Grave wrongs had already been done to the Arabs. If the Jewish immigration is allowed to continue, I have no doubt that not only the Muslim League will revolt but the whole Muslim world will revolt.”

Speech of M A Jinnah at Strachey Hall Aligarh (10 March, 1944).

“We cannot remain silent and we must assure the Arabs that Indian Muslims will stand by them.”

M A Jinnah’s Speech at the Council of the All-India Muslim League (10 April, 1946).

^^ and similarly how many Arabs were making speeches in regards to Kashmir being a part of Pakistan?

Why should Pakistan always fight for other people but those people never stick out their necks for Pakistan?

Re: Quaid e Azam's statements on Palestine/Israel issue

^^ and they will keep making stronger alliances with India just like Iran has better relations with India, or PLO and Yasser Arafat had better relations with India.

Yes keep supporting people who dont give a rats ass about us and making their enemies our enemies as well

what brilliant foreign policy approach

No wonder Pakistan has so many friends in the world

Re: Quaid e Azam's statements on Palestine/Israel issue

First you need to accept that you disagree with the vision of Pakistan's founder.
It is not a nationalist issue. Arabs or no Arabs

Re: Quaid e Azam's statements on Palestine/Israel issue

It is not just about Palestinians, it is about Quds, one of Islam's holiest mosques.

Re: Quaid e Azam's statements on Palestine/Israel issue

Its not only holy to Muslims, but it is the location of the most holy site of Judiasm, their Kabaa and for Christians as well.

So Muslims cannot claim the whole of Jerusalem for their own.

Re: Quaid e Azam's statements on Palestine/Israel issue

There are many things I disagree with Quaid-a-Azam.

He ate pork, drank alcohol and never protested British rule in India and thus was never jailed unlike the Gandhi and Nehru.

And in my opinion the creation of Pakistan was a mistake.

It divided Muslims and thus made us weak where a united India with Pakistan and Bangladesh, we muslims would be more than 45% of India's population and Hindus could have never subjucated us like they are doing to our brethren in India.

So ya, there are a lot of things I disagree with Qaid-a-Azam.

Mercenray---you have one sided understanding about world-politics.

The largest Gulf country named--Saudi Arabia--also the home of Ummah ideology---is the strongest ally of Pakistan.

Only lately Kind Abdullah visited India, later in reports it was evident that Pakitsan might offer "nukes" to Saudis in future if required-- so you can imagine how strong is the relations.
Also Pakitsan receives a lot of financial "Aid" from saudis

Also UAE has much better relations with Pakitsan than India---thanks to failure of BJP government in handling Dawood Ebrahim case when he was in UAE and escaped to Pakistan??, they rubbed UAE government for this, I guess.

India's support to Palestine is genuine, because Palestine's cause is genuine.

Good relations with Israel has not limited India's stand on this.

Re: Quaid e Azam's statements on Palestine/Israel issue

No he wasn't Ismaili.
Ask Rizwan Ahmed, his biographer, and he will tell he was sunni.

Re: Quaid e Azam's statements on Palestine/Israel issue

Pakistan will call it Arab affair?
