My Job was to post the quotes of Iqbal and Jinnah and i have done what i wanted!
The Challenge remains open :

No you havent, I want to discuss Jinnah's vision. Show me one quote where Jinnah or Iqbal said that no one will be allowed to shave, no one will be allowed to listen to music, no women will be allowed to come out of their house, anyone disagrreing with Jinnah's version of Islam will simply be murdered. Show me, and try to answer the questions raised.
Show me Jinnah's quote supporting such barbaric way of life and I will give you $1000.
Also tell me do you think that Taliban's version of ruling the masses ( I wont call it islam as it is not) is what Jinnah wanted. A simple yes or no.

Yeah I see, you conveniently ignoring post no. 4 in this thread which very clearly illustrates what Jinnah wanted for Pakistan; not a theocracy or mullah state.
How tragic for Pakistan that Jinnah's words were so callously ignored

I see, trying to get personal when you cant answer simple question, tells a lot about you. Jinnah was a great man he would have never supported animals which are roaming in Swat now, how much you try to link his personality to these animals. In fact it is an insult that you are doing this to our nation and to this great man. Shame on you.
My offer still stands show me one quote where Jinnah would have supported such inhuman behaviour by these animals and I will give you $1000, otherwise stop all this nonsense.
Re: Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah - The Founder of Islamic (Not Secular) Pakistan
It was only Zia and his cronies which embedded buffonish twisted Islamic Laws.
Among the shining examples the Hudood Laws.
Agreed; Zia made a mockery of Islamic laws e.g deduction of Zakat on Savings account =>which implies Zakat on Interest income, absolute mockery of Islamic Economic system
Pakistan was not founded as an Islamic State and nor was its constitution derived from Quran or Shaira.
It was a secular democracy for Muslims of India.
Get that through your thick skull.
"Seperation of state & Church" is a logical corollary to Secularism . However, the fundamental principle of secularism is that divine commandments cannot be accepted as valid arguments for ascertaining righteousness & for all matters influencing the collective sphere of society; only human rationality & empirical evidence will be the basis on which moral & value judgments will be decreed. Debating on the merits or de-merits of secularism is a different debate ,my argument is that how can a movement whose foundation was based on the rejection of the concept of nation-statehood , an ideology that argued religion to be the basis of separate identity be reconcilable to a system that rejects divinity to be a justifiable basis for any argumentation in the collective sphere of life.
The greatest proof negating your assertions is the objective resolution passed by the constituent assembly in 1949 ,
"Whereas sovereignty over the entire universe belongs to Allah Almighty alone and the authority which He has delegated to the State of Pakistan, through its people for being exercised within the limits prescribed by Him is a sacred trust;"
This is the first line of objective resolution which is still the preamble to the constitution of Pakistan 1973 & has been for every constitution since its initial adoption , is the most resounding negation to the concept of human sovereignty (as supposed to devine sovereignty).
Re: Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah - The Founder of Islamic (Not Secular) Pakistan
Please be foucsed this thread is not taliban vs army thread. I am going to rest for a while caz i cannot answer every childish reply. Come up with some scholarly reply with quotes, references and dates.
Its very typical of secular fanatics that when they cannot negate an argument they jump on XYZ things like Shaving, Taliban, Sudan, Somalia and so on...........
I am going to hibernate till some intellectual reply comes.
He claimed his personal sources in army and ISI admitted to blowing up schools, yet he ran away when statements from talib leaders were posted saying they blow up schools. :hehe:
the Taliban have long failed on these basic rights. their interpretation of religion does not allow tolerance of other muslims, let alone minorities.
βIt will be an Islamic state on the pattern of the Medina state with human rights, liberalism, democracy and complete tolerance and freedom of conscience to all citizens without any distinction of colour, creed, language, and race as granted by the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (peace be upon him) to Christians, Jews, idol worshippers and all others. Justice, brotherhood, liberty, equality and fraternity will reign supreme.β
**ISLAMIC ISLAMIC ISLAMIC ......:):) **An islamic state adhereing to human rights , liberalism and democracy......
because these actions are the typical actions of the taliban, who propogate islam. their claim theiur version of shariah allows this. so this is what we will expect to see in an islamic state under them.
Jinnah's own sister Fatima played an active role in politics, and she wore a dupatta not a burqa. jinnah did not keep a beard. jinnah wore western clothes more i believe.
we dont need to come up with scholary replies when we see those who YOU SUPPORT in action in the media day in, day out.
does islam allow people like mesud and azfullah to kill innocent civilians , to attack public places? why have they turned the region into a hell fire for poor muslims?

Request to Moderators
Dear Moderators can you please split the second page from my thread caz its off topic
and open an other thread with khekeshan or** the Joke** as its starter and title it** " Taliban Vision of Islam " etc etc**
Because the prime purpose of my thread was Quaid-e-Azam and Iqbal's Vision of Pakistan but somehow over excited people have spotted a Taliban here...and have made it another one of those typical Taliban vs Good guys Thread.
Please Take action and preserve the essence of my Post. I repeatedly tried to explain them to stay within the confinements of the topic but some people hijacked the entire thread with another discussion.
Re: Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah - The Founder of Islamic (Not Secular) Pakistan
I dont think the thread should be split as the discussion is very relevant as to how Jinnah viewed Pakistan as a Muslim nation, as followers of true Islam or the barbaric and unislamic version of Taliban.
