some of you might have experienced living in some arab countries.
Usualy work stops at noon and then after a break of 3,4 hours starts at afternoon. In KSA I observed they have a long break from 1 to 5 pm and they have to go back to work at 5 till 8 pm.
How do you reflect on these working hours. from 8am to 8pm and a 4 hour break ?

well my work hours are from 8 am - 2 pm, 5 days a week.
here in Kuwait most jobs here have the usual 9-5 routine, how ever nearly all retail shops here open around 8-9 in the morning, close at 2 pm, re-open around 4-5 pm and then go all the way up to 10 or maybe in some cases even after midnight.
from what I think, since most of the G.C.C is more Retail oriented and less Manufacturing oriented (less then 15%), so they don't have to be worried about how to make the most out of the given time, all they do is sell sell and then sell some more, from what I know, K.S.A and a bit of U.A.E are the only G.C.C countries that have a manufacturing sector, so they don't have to meet production deadlines or don't have market domination to worry about unlike most manufacturing countries like Japan or Germany.
wait for the oil to run out, then these towel heads will run around like crazy, whining about why they never had a productive economy and with nearly 50% of the citizen population illiterate in most G.C.C countries you can't expect much from them either.
