^ it does not matter what she thinks. If your husband is okay with baby girl then there is nothing she can do. Don't stress yourself unnecessary , it's not in your hands. With all due respect to your MIL, I think she is pathetic.
my huby wants a girl.....bc he has no sister................ now lets c...........
I want a boy first, my fiance wants a girl first. I want a boy because, just like some people said before, I dont want to hear anything from my in laws! But, I also want to say, I would want a healthy child, that is the most important!
I really don't mind as long as my baby is healthy.
But, m'A my relationship with my mum (as the oldest daughter) is amazing. We're like best friends and I'd love to have something similar with my daughter. So having a baby girl first would be lovely.
a boy, cause i've always wanted a big brother, so i kind of want my daughter to have one...but then i also want my first to be a daughter since im the first daughter, and my mom is the first too so it goes with lineage :P
jisme allah ki baiteree ho inshalllah :P
I wanted a boy, because i loved names like adam and ali, and my husband had girls names in mind, im expecting a girl, and am happy either way, girls are so much prettier to dress :] EITHER WAY as long as she/he is healthy and bouncing and i love chubby babies, the fatter the better :] i was a fat baby...so heres hoping....

While I may not agree with every post of the OP.....I don't think there's anything wrong with this question. It's a common one.......that I've seen many people think about ....not only desi women.
We don't really have any control over this (like many other things in life)......but there's nothing wrong with wondering/wishing.
One of my friends is pregnant for the second time. Her first baby is only about 6 months old I think. She had always wanted a daughter and hoped the first baby would be a girl.....turned out to be a boy (and she's happy nevertheless). She hoped the second would be a girl.....turns out it's a boy again.
In the end what matters most is that the child (irrespective of gender) has loving parents.
waise cute responses from the people who wanted boys but in a cute way, not in a** "girls are horrible to have"** way. :)
(and no this is nto sarcasm)
^That kind of mentality (girls are a burden.....can't really do much for a family.....can't really do or amount to anything) is ridiculous.....I agree.
