I sincerely wish TLK bhai spend sometime in Tableegh. Allah (swt) has blessed him with so much talent (Masha’Allah), which if utilized in tableegh would be a lot more beneficial for the guidance of people like me who have gone astray from the right path. He just needs your approval (probably) to dedicate his time more in learning the noorani ways of the Prophet (saw) and the Suhabas.. He has my approval and he has gone a few times. He has this one real good buddy who’s tried to take him along a few times but I don’t think TLK’s ready for it yet. And when he is, he doesn’t have to check with me on this. I guess some folks are good at giving dawaah and some contribute to the cummunity in another way. TLK does a lot for our masjid and the Islamic school…maybe that’s his calling…dunno.

First of all

Well he listens and works well with his team. He is very respectful.
I like that he is not afraid of being criticized and that he respects his peers.
No. He’s too old.

How was the experience of motherhood? when you first time felt a new life breathing inside you. Who suggested Bari’s name? How was the beginning of the practical motherhood; i mean once Bari came into this world and taking care of her teeny veeny body little arms and legs, did touching her give you a mixed feeling of coochy koo and fear And how about choti, was she more naughty in the stomach? How was it raising two little fairies together? did you have to sacrifice your sleep and hunger and health and all that, growing kids up. What are your most cherished dreams about your future and the future of your kids Where do you see your self 20 years from today, if you were keeping a diary of your daily accounts, 20 years after today, how would you describe a day of your life, any random day.

I gew up in Punjab India..then we moved to Africa…then I went to college in Shimla, then Chandigarh, then came to the US. So I had a very interesting growing up! I was a very trendy nerd :D. For my future, I always envisioned a cozy home with daughters…and that’s exactly what I got! We had our first child after 6 years of being married. And when I found out, I was overjoyed and ecstatic! I felt blessed. MIL suggested the name and we loved it! I feel motherhood comes naturally…it’s a gift of the almighty! No, both bachis were well behaved in the tummy :D! It’s a blessing to raise daughters…they bring “ronak” and everyday, it’s a new thing ! Yes, all mothrs have to sacrifice their comforts…it’s a privilege. I think my husband and I are on the same page of parenting and we are working on providing them with a good foundation for their fiture…for a lot of it depends on what environment we provide, and then the circumstances. I see myself as a healthy and active grandma! I see myself doing pretty much what I do today except that my kids would be replaced by my grandkids

If you really wanted to dance, would TLK join you, or go or sharmeela sharmala? Where would you raise your family ideally if you could? (basically talking about being closer to your parents) Does the constant rain over there get you down? Or are you like a propa desi and go out , twirl around in your shalwar kameez as a soundtrack plays in your head?? (like i do sans shalwar kameez ofcourse, err i mean in patloon and shirt pervs )

He’d be the sharmeela types Right where I’m at. MashaAllah I think this is a good place to be. Yes I do miss my parents and I wish they could be closer but under the circumstances, we’re better off visitng them frequently. No the rain doesn’t bother us. It’s better than 12 inches of snow and extreme weather conditions! It’s a beautiful place and you enjoy natural beauty and city life together! I hate getting wet in the rain though…and no I can NEVER ever dance and sing in the rain .

I get paranoid by the concept of "marriage", it scares the hell outta me and I feel like being single is the bestest. I have not been exposed to faithful men in my family & out of my family on the basis of quantity (85% are unfaithful to their spouses, not my brothers), would you please tell me how to get over this? How are you happily married? Expecting less is the way to go?

There are other men like your brothers. You have to understand that.

You don't have to "settle" for what you get but be thankful and always work on improving. Relationships are built on effort and willingness. No one gets a fully cooked meal on a platter. Always remember that your husband could be thinking the same way about you.

I never thought about that . Although I think I'd be a dolphin...all tough and shiny on the outside but a friendly soul.

Ideal vacation...go to Egypt, stay in a lavish hotel and visit all the sites in style!

I’m not sure why they are imposing the ban…perhaps it’s a matter of national security…you know a lovely lady may actually be a bomb waiting to explode behind the veil . I don’t think a democratic government should limit freedom of religion. Those are tax-paying citizens and they deserve their rights.

All time favorite food is dal chawal and aloo ki sabzi with pyaz, achar and paapar and hari mirchi on the side. And a bowl of dahi.

I'm not a TV person.
I like reading all kinds of stuff. No favorite as such.
I love IMAGINE by John Lennon. And most British bands from the 80s.

Everything has been asked already! 1. A question that you'd want to be asked and haven't been already; answer the question as well. 2. When was the first time TLK said "I love you" to you.Where were you, what were you doing and how did you respond? 3. I'm not entirely sure but you have 2 kids mashallah right? Bachey do hee achey or no? 4. Is GS ever a topic of discussion over dinner table or you guys take a complete break once you're out of here?

1. I think pretty much all areas have been covered!
2. I was at the library. I knew he loved me but I pretend like I was surprised. I think I sent him a note back. I still have his note in my wallet.
3. 2 Daughters mashaAllah. I think I'm done. I'm very satisfied and don't feel the need to have more.
4. We do talk about GS, not too much though.

Do you want to have more kids? Where do you want to live when you retire? What is the hardest part about teaching? Do you use Shan Masalas? Which ones?
