That is what I call it. We have verses like John 10:30 and 14:9. The first one reads “ I and father are one.” The Christians/Clergy leaves vague exactly what this sentence itself leaves vague: one what? The overlooked information is found in the Seventeenth Chapter of John where the same idea occurs more than once and includes the disciples of Jesus (PBUH) in this oneness. (See John 17:11, 21-22). The thought that should be finished is this: If Jesus (PBUH) meant to say that being “one” means being divine then are the disciples also divine in the same sense as Jesus (PBUH) since the same expression includes them? As it happens the phrase has been sold twice. The Seventeenth Chapter verses are quoted in support of unity of purpose while the Tenth Chapter verse is used to support the claim that Jesus (PBUH) announced his goodhood. In reality both John 10:30 and John 17:11, 21-22 are obviously telling the “unity of purpose”.

Take Pride in Islaam

It s unfortunate that Muslims in many parts of the world are practicising a mixture of many un-Islamic practices which find no basis in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. In the Indo-Pakistan sub-continent there has crept into the practice of Islaam the influences of Hinduism, Bhakthi-movement, idol-worship, degenerated forms of Sufism and so on and so forth. In many parts of Africa, the remnants of paganism, cult-worship and celebration of pagan festivals and fetish practices are practiced side by side with Islaam.
In some Arab countries and the Maghreb, people have evolved their own peculiar, form of Islaam, which finds no support or sanction in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. The practices which have been condemned by the Prophet (saaw) are being upheld by some people, by giving them religious flavor. This type of Islaam is found in all countries where the Muslim dwells.

The Prophet in his final hajj message: "O people, I leave behind two things. If you hold fast to them, you will never go astray: the Book of Allaah and my Sunnah." Hence, the true revival of our Ummah can be achieved by no other means than that which the Messenger of Allaahasked us to do. Allaah has also asked the Prophet to declare that the touchtone of the love of Allaah is the obedience to the Messenger. "Say, if you love Allaah, then follow me , Allaah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allaah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful." [3:31]

In the face of attacks on Islaam by the disbelievers, some Muslims turn to the defensive with an inner feeling of defeat as they try to show that Islamic values are no different from western ones. If they are told that the Islamic political system is dictatorial, they respond by trying to show that it is democratic. If they are told that Islaam is spread with jihad, they respond that Muslims fought only to defend themselves when attacked. If they are told that there is a problem with the status of women in Islaam, they try to prove that Islaam allows polygamy only under strict conditions, which most men do not fulfill and hence they conclude it is virtually not allowed.
Such apologetic attitudes should be put behind us. Islaam is a way of life given to us by Allaah, it cannot be put on the same level as other man-made ideologies or corrupted revelations. Muslims should have enough confidence in themselves to go on the offensive rather than stay on the defensive like an accused person. When Quraysh accused the Muslims of violating the sanctity of the sacred months on the occasion of the fight between the Muslim brigade of Abdullah ibn Jahsh and the disbelievers, Allaah (swt) revealed: ‘They ask you concerning fighting in the Sacred Months (these are the 1st, 7th,and 12 months of Islamic calendar). Say: ‘Fighting therein is a great transgression but a greater transgression in the Sight of Allaah is to prevent mankind from following the Way of Allaah, to disbelieve in Him, to prevent access to al-masjid al-Haram(at Makkah), and to drive out its inhabitants, and polytheism is worse than killing. And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion. If they can. And whosover of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds wil lbe lost in this life and in the Hereafter, and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide therein forever.’[2:217] This is how the Qur’aan argues with the disbelievers. The Qur’aan starts attacking them on their greatest crime: their disbelief in Allaah and their association of partners with Him. One should not present a false interpretation of our religion for he purpose of pleasing the disbelievers.
Some Muslims today try to hide their Islamic identity for fear of being labeled a ‘ fundamentalist’. Men are shaving their beard and women are trying to make their hijaab look like the latest fashion. If presented with food or drink that is haram, they say we are full at the moment, or they say we do not like that particular food. Only few say that they cannot eat it because it is unlawful in Islaam. This is not the way the companions of the Prophet (saaw) behaved. When the companions accepted Islaam, they became proud of it and felt that all other ideologies and ways of the life are inferior to that which has been revealed to them from above the seven heavens.
In the battle between the Muslims and the Persians, Rostom, the leader of the Persian army, asked to negotiate with the Muslims. Sa’d ibn abi Waqqas, the Muslim leader in that battle, sent a group of companions among which was Rib’e ibn Amer. The Persian leader prepared a magnificent reception in order to impress those ‘Bedouins’ and weaken their position. The Persian asked Rib’e to enter without his arms. He refused and entered with his arms and his horse and tied his horse nest to Rostom. Rostom asked: “ What brings you?’ Rib’e said: ‘Allaah has sent us to convert mankind from the worship of people to the worship of Allaah and from the narrowness of this life to its wideness and from the oppression of the religions to the justice of Islaam. Allaah has sent us to His religion. Whoever accept it, we accept from Him and whoever refuses, we fight him until we get the promise of Allaah.” “ And what is His promise?” asked Rostom. “ Paradise for those who die and victory for those who survive” answered Rib’e. Rostom said: “Can you delay this matter until we think about it?” Rib’e answered: “ Yes. How many days do you need one or two?? Rostom said: “More. Until I write to my people.” Rib’e said: “ We can’t. Our Prophet does not authorize us to delay our enemies more than three days. So make up your mind.”!
This companion came from a society which was materially far behind the Persian empire. Nevertheless he had himself the seed of Truth and righteousness that allowed him not to be distracted or impressed with the glamour surrounding the disbelievers. Civilization starts with the correct belief and faith. The material aspects of civilization will come later on as a by product. On the other hand, the disbelievers, no matter how materially advanced he might be, is an uncivilized person and bears in his sould the germs of his own destruction. This is why you should TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR RELIGION. This is why YOU SHOULD TAKE PRIDE IN ISLAAM.

It is the bounden duty of every Muslim to mutually co-operate in the work of Daw'aah, preaching and teaching the faith taught by the Messenger of Allaah. Those practices (Sunnah) of the Prophet which are lost and have gone out of practice , due to the weakness of the Ummah must be revived, taught and propagated to the world at large. The work of Dawa'ah in reality begins with the reformation of one's own self and then the message is taken to everyone. In dawa'ah, one is bound to face obstruction and encounter difficulties. Such person should excercise the utmost patience, constancy and endurance during hours of trial and tribulation. The revival of the Sunnah must first be established in one's home, then one's family, friends, society and the Ummah at large. The work of revival and the practices of the Prophet the Sunnah will automatically bring about the destruction of bi'dah, the devilish innovations which have crept into the lives of Muslims everywhere, due to various influences both within and without. " Where you to obey most of those on earth, they will mislead you far away from Allaah's path. They follow nothing but conjectures and they do nothing but lie." [6:116]
It is not right for a believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allaah and His Messenger to have any choice about their decision. And whosoever disobey Allaah and His Messenger he has indeed gone astray." [33:36]

The GENEALOGY OF JESUS?

In two places in the New Testament the genealogy of Jesus son of Mary (PBUT) is mentioned. Matthew 1:6-16 and Luke 3:23-31. Each gives the ancestors of Joseph the CLAIMED husband of Mary and Step father of Jesus(PBUH). The first one starts from Abraham(verse 2) all the way down to Jesus. The second one from Jesus all the way back to Adam. The only common name to these two lists between David and Jesus is JOSEPH, How can this be true? and also How can Jesus have a genealogy when all Muslims and most Christians believe that Jesus had/has no father(biological)?

1.According to the Bible, Jesus is a common name. Then, why do you try to make it unique by spelling it differently?

  1. “Christ (Anointed)” is used for many. Do you still claim that “Christ” is unique?

  2. Why is the Trinity not taught in thirty nine books of the Old Testament?
    Is it not an important principle of faith? Why didn’t Noah, Abraham, Moses,
    David etc. preach that doctrine? Why did they preach just the opposite
    (Deuteronomy 4:39; 6:4; 32:39. Exodus 20: 2-3. 1 Samuel 2:2. 1 Kings 8:60,
    Isaiah 42:8; 45:5-6)?

  3. According to the Bible, are we not all children of God? (Matthew 5:9;
    6:14, Luke 20:36; John 8:47, 1 John 5:18,19)

  4. What about Mark 10:18-19?: “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only
    God is truly good!” Do these two verses not clearly state that Jesus was
    not God?

  5. If Jesus is God, what does Mark 13:32 mean?: “No one knows about that
    day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor I myself, but, only the
    Father.” If Jesus was Lord, how could he not know the future?

  6. What about Mark 12:29: “Jesus replied, 'The one that says, ‘Hear, O
    Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only God. And you must love him
    with all your heart and soul and mind and strength.’” What about Matthew
    4:10; 6:24, Mark 10:18, Luke 18:19?

  7. Matthew 12:17-18 quoting from the Old Testament, states that Jesus was
    the Servant of God. Is there not any difference between the Servant of God
    and God?

  8. Why do you ignore the verses expressing that Jesus was a “messenger of
    God” (Matthew 21:11,46; Luke 7:16; 24:19; John 4:19; 6:14)?

  9. Why does John 1:18 have a different text in different versions? Did
    Jesus see God or not?

  10. Why are all the verses used to justify the Trinity questionable? For
    instance, many Christian scholars acknowledge that the crucial word
    “begotten” in John 1:14,18 and 3:16,18 does not exist in the original manuscripts. Why, is the phrase “son of God” changed into “the only begotten Son of God”?

But question is how valid this allegation is? Fact is copy and paste or cut and paste is a feature that every computer user is equipped with. This feature is designed to avoid typing, redundancy, and use of typed material in simple fashion for later use to prevent retyping. This feature provides a great help to those who are deemed to use same material over and over again, such as printers, publishers, scholars, intellectuals, and people who debates on public forum. So why the non-sense accusation? The people who are ignorant, intimidated, and do not possess any capacity to debate with reason and logic because they have no facts in support of their crapola use this as weapon. Human equality in Islam

The religion of Islam is a very beautiful religion when it comes to human equality and to liberation of slaves. When Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him brought Islam to his people from Allah Almighty, they used to buy and sell slaves, abuse them, and whip them to death if slaves disobey. The Muslims had fought long and bloody battles against the Pagan Arabs to liberate slaves and women.

How does Islam view slaves?

Islam commands the Muslims to love and respect slaves and to treat them with kindness.

Noble Verse 2:177 "It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness to believe in God and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the God-fearing." In this Noble Verse, we see that Allah Almighty orders Muslims to spend from their money and wealth and to give with love and respect the kin, orphans, the needy, the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for slaves. Muslims have to help those who need it in their community.

Noble Verse 2:221 "Do not marry unbelieving women (idolaters), until they believe: A slave woman who believes is better than an unbelieving woman, even though she allures you. Nor marry (your girls) to unbelievers until they believe: A man slave who believes is better than an unbeliever, even though he allures you. Unbelievers do (but) beckon you to the Fire. But God beckons by His Grace to the Garden (of bliss) and forgiveness, and makes His Signs clear to mankind: That they may celebrate His praise." In this Noble Verse, we see that Allah Almighty in some cases considers a slave to be better than a free human being. Allah Almighty orders Muslims not to marry from the Pagans, and He tells us that a slave Muslim (who is owned by a non Muslim) is better than a non believer, even if that non believer was beautiful.

Noble Verse 24:31 "And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards God, that ye may attain Bliss." In this Noble Verse, we see that Allah Almighty orders the Muslim women to guard their modesty and not to display their beauty to strangers. However, the Muslim women are allowed to display their beauty to their husbands, relatives, other women, and their slaves. This Noble Verse clearly shows a full respect to the slaves by allowing the Muslim women to display their beauty to them.

The Liberation of Slaves in Islam

The reason why Muslims had slaves is because when Islam was still weak and growing, the Arab Pagans' tribes used to launch continuous attacks on the Muslims to destroy Islam once and for all. Muslims had entered many bloody and vicious battles against the non believers which had cost both sides many lives from the men. When the Muslims used to enter a city after defeating its army, they would face a new dilemma. They often meet hundreds of non believing women and young children and elderly left without any support because their men had died in the battle field.

For this reason, Allah Almighty allowed for the Muslims to take those people as slaves to help them survive. Keep in mind that during that time, the Muslims didn't have an Islamic government and welfare system to take care of the orphans and widows from the non believers. The Muslims had to take care of them from their own means.

Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him ordered the Muslims to be very sensitive to their slaves. He ordered the Muslims to buy the slave young boys and girls the same quality of clothes and gifts that they would buy for their children. He also ordered Muslims not to hit or be violent to adult slaves. He ordered Muslims to be loving and caring for them.

Prophet Muhammad also urged wealthy Muslims to buy slaves from the Pagan Arabs and to let them free after that. One of Prophet Muhammad's best friends was a slave from Africa called Bilal Al-Habashi. Bilal was bought from his Pagan master by Abu Baker Al-Siddeek, one of Muhammad's best friends. After Abu Baker bought Bilal, he set him free.

Islam as I mentioned in the introduction came to fight slavery. Allah Almighty ordered the Muslims to gradually liberate slaves and to give them their freedom in many cases.

Noble Verse 4:92 "Never should a believer kill a believer; but (If it so happens) by mistake, (Compensation is due): If one (so) kills a believer, it is ordained that he should free a believing slave, and pay compensation to the deceased's family, unless they remit it freely. If the deceased belonged to a people at war with you, and he was a believer, the freeing of a believing slave (Is enough). If he belonged to a people with whom ye have treaty of Mutual alliance, compensation should be paid to his family, and a believing slave be freed. For those who find this beyond their means, (is prescribed) a fast for two months running: by way of repentance to God: for God hath all knowledge and all wisdom." In this Noble Verse, we see that Allah Almighty ordered to free a believing slave if a Muslim accidentally kills another Muslim. This Noble Verse came to encourage Muslims to liberate slaves.

Noble Verse 5:89 "God will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that is beyond your means, fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth God make clear to you His signs, that ye may be grateful." This Noble Verse is also another proof that Allah Almighty did encourage Muslims to liberate slaves.

Noble Verse 58:3 "But those who divorce their wives by Zihar, then wish to go back on the words they uttered, (It is ordained that such a one) should free a slave before they touch each other: Thus are ye admonished to perform: and God is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do." This Noble Verse is another proof that Allah Almighty did encourage Muslims to liberate slaves.

Can a slave request his freedom from his Muslim owner?

The Noble Quran not only allows slaves to request their freedom from their Muslim masters, but also orders the Muslim masters to pay the slaves money to help them stand on their feet and to be able to face life with a good jump start.

Noble Verse 24:33 "Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until God gives them means out of His grace. And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which God has given to you. But force not your maids to prostitution when they desire chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life. But if anyone compels them, yet, after such compulsion, is God, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to them)," In this Noble Verse, we see that if a slave requests his freedom from his Muslim master, then his master not only should help him earn his freedom, but also pay him money so the slave can have a good start in his free life.

Conclusion

Islam is a very merciful religion on slaves. Islam came and fought many bloody battles against the Arabs who believed in slavery and who brutally enslaved many people. Islam also sees the importance of liberating slaves, and had helped to gradually liberate slaves until all of them were ultimately freed. Islam allows for any slave to request from his Muslim owner his freedom, and orders the Muslim owner to grant that slave his freedom and to pay him money on top of it to help him get a good start in his new free life.

What is the punishment for rape in Christianity and in Islam?

Rape is a big crime that could actually take the woman's or the victim's life away. Let us examine how Christianity deals with the rapist: "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives. (From the NIV Bible, Deuteronomy 22:28)" Although this Verse from the Bible only talks about virgins, but its the only verse in the entire Bible that talks about this subject. Not to be biased or anything, but the Bible seems to have quite weird things in it that are quite irrational and quite ridiculous. Deuteronomy 22:28 forces the raped woman to marry her rapist. My question to the writers of the Bible is why in the world would any raped female victim want to be in the same town, not the same bedroom !! with her rapist?. Also, the Bible seems to promote raping of single women: "But if out in the country a man happens to meet a girl pledged to be married and rapes her, only the man who has done this shall die. (From the NIV Bible, Deuteronomy 22:25)" This is quite an interesting verse. We see in Deuteronomy 22:28 that if a man rapes a single woman then she will be forced to be his wife, while if a man rapes a married woman in Deuteronomy 22:25, then he shall be put to death. There is absolutely no punishment for the rapist of a single woman in the Bible. For those Christians who think that they don't have to follow the Old Testament, well my answer to them is this: The Old Testament prohibits for the brother to marry his sister, or for the son to marry his mother. The New Testament doesn't even talk about it. Does that mean that a Christian brother can marry his sister? or a Christian son can marry his mother? Jesus himself anyway ordered his followers to follow the Old Testament, so their argument is totally invalid. Another small example that shows the weird things in the Bible is the following: "If a man takes a wife and, after laying with her, dislikes her and slanders her and gives her a bad name, saying, 'I married this woman but when I approached her, I did not find proof of her virginity,' then the girl's father and mother shall bring proof [how do you think they would do that?] that she was a virgin to the town elders at the gate. The girl's father will say to the elders, 'I gave my daughter in marriage to this man, but he dislikes her. Now he has slandered her and said, 'I did not find your daughter to be a virgin.' But here is the proof of my daughter's virginity.' Then her parents shall display the cloth [the father would literally stick his two fingers covered with a piece of cloth into his daughter's vagina before she gets married and keep that bloody cloth for as long as his daughter is married] with before the elders of the town, and the elders shall take the man and punish him. (From the NIV Bible, Deuteronomy 22:13-18)" I know that the Iraqi and Iranian and Egyptian Jews do it. The father sticks his two fingers into his daughter's vagina covered in a piece of cloth and then he goes outside and shows everyone that she is virgin by displaying the bloody cloth before his daughter's actual marriage in few hours. It's quite obvious that the Bible is more like a man made cultural book than a divine book that is meant to be for all times and all places. Anyway, the Bible was not even written by its original authors. That is why you see things such as "And Moses went up to the mountain...." instead of "And I [Moses] went up to the mountain....", or "And Jesus said to Matthew...." instead of "And Jesus said to me [Matthew]...." Most of the Books and Gospels of the Bible were written by third party people that were not even chosen by GOD, which makes the Bible just a cultural history book rather than a divine book from GOD Almighty. Now as for Islam's punishment for the rapist, let us read the following: "Malik related to me from Ibn Shihab that Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan gave a judgment that the rapist had to pay the raped woman her bride-price. Yahya said that he heard Malik say, "What is done in our community about the man who rapes a woman, virgin or non-virgin, if she is free, is that he must pay the bride-price of the like of her. If she is a slave, he must pay what he has diminished of her worth. The hadd-punishment in such cases is applied to the rapist, and there is no punishment applied to the raped woman. If the rapist is a slave, that is against his master unless he wishes to surrender him. (Translation of Malik Muwatta, The Book of Judgement, Book 36, Number 36.16.14)"

Malik (full name Malik bin Anas bin Malik bin Abu Amir Al-Asbahi) was born in 93 A.H. and died in 179 A.H. He lived most of his life in Madinah, the city in which the Prophet (peace be upon him) settled in. He was a preeminent scholar of Islam, and is the originator of the Maliki judicial school of thought. He is reputed to have had over one thousand students. During Malik's lifetime, he steadily revised his Muwatta, so it reflects over forty years of his learning and knowledge. It contains a few thousand Hadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him).

The above saying teaches us the following: (1) The raped woman, whether she was a slave woman or a non slave woman gets to define what price the rapist has to pay; "....the rapist had to pay the raped woman her bride-price...."; (2) The woman can determine a price for him to pay other than money. It can simply be his own life!. "...The hadd-punishment in such cases is applied to the rapist, and there is no punishment applied to the raped woman...." In Arabic, the "hadd-punishment" is in many times applied to death cases such as applying the hadd-punishment on a married person who has committed adultery. The hadd-punishment is this case is stoning to death. Since "the bride-price of the like of her..." is something determined by the victim woman only, then she can literally sentence him to death if she wishes, or have him get stoned or wiped or pay a high amount of money. It's all up to her, because he has forcibly violated her.
