To all truly Muslims As’Salamo-Alaykum :)and non- Muslims Hello!

As many of you know that Irrefragable and I are new kids on the block. During our short time on GupShup I could not resist to notice that some of the posters who claims to be Muslims have a very strange sense of faith. Their knowledge about Islam/Christianity/Judaism is very limited. I like to see that the truly Muslims get engage in a discussion on this forum about Islam and mainly Christianity, including other religions as well. Frankly I am shocked to read some posts which are full of Kufr. I would also love to answer any question about Islam, Christianity or Judaism to the best of my ability with facts. No opinion and no non-sense.

How would I know that I am a "truly Muslim" or not? Who is going to decide that?

If you don't know that you should not be on this forum. By virtue of your posts and judging them in the light of Noble Quran and Sunnah anyone can decide that. So far all I got here is Hindus and Ahmadi impersonating Muslims. Read Quran, if you are Muslim to learn. Where in Noble Quran and Hadeeth it say that only Allah will decide it? Got proof?

Can you back up your statement from Noble Quran? Go back to school and learn English again. I wrote "truly Muslim." Let me educate you, this is what American Heritage Dictionary says about the word "truly."

Major SINS in Islam

The major sins are associating other objects of worship with God, disobedience to parents, murder, and deliberate perjury.
(Bukhari, Muslim).

There are three signs of a hypocrite: when he speaks he speaks lies, when he makes a promise he breaks it, and when he is trusted he betrays his trust.
(Bukhari).

Avoid the seven noxious things.(1) Associating anything with God, (2) magic,(3) killing one whom God has declared inviolate without a just cause, (4) devouring usury, (5) consuming the property of an orphan, running back from the battlefield and, (7) slandering chaste women who are believers but indiscreet.
(Bukhari, Muslim).

Four characteristics constitute anyone who possesses them a sheer hypocrite, and anyone who possesses one of them possesses a characteristic of hypocrisy till he abandons it: when he is trusted he betrays his trust, when he talks he lies, when he makes a covenant he acts treacherously and when he quarrels he abuses.
(Bukhari, Muslim).

Knowledge

When a man dies no further reward is recorded for his actions, with three exceptions: Sadqa which continues to be supplied, or knowledge from which benefit continues to be reaped, or the prayers of a good son to his dead father.
(Muslim).

If anyone removes (one of the) anxieties of this world from a believer, God will remove (one of the) anxieties from him on the Day of Resurrection; if one smoothes the way for one who is destitute, God will smooth the way for him in this world and the next; and if anyone conceals the faults of a Muslim, God will conceal his faults in this world and the next. God helps a man as long as he helps his brother. If anyone pursues a path in search of knowledge God will thereby make easy for him a path to paradise.
(Muslim).

He who goes out in search of knowledge is in God's path till he returns.
(Tirmidhi, Darimi).

The search of knowledge is an obligation laid on every Muslim.
(Ibn Majah, Baihaqi).

The one who would have the worst position in God's sight on the Day of Resurrection would be a learned man who did not profit from his learning.
(Darimi).

"And spend of your wealth in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loves those who do good."

(Al Baqarah: 195 "Noble Qura’an")

"Among acts and good deeds for which a believer is rewarded after death, a piece of knowledge he has taught and diffused, a virtuous son he has brought up, an inherited book of Quran he has left, a mosque or a wayfarer's house he has constructed, a river he has caused to stream or alms he has handed out of his riches while still healthy and alive, so that he benefits there from in afterlife"

Faith/IMAAN

. Islam is based on five things: the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is His servant and messenger, the observance of the prayer, the payment of Zakat, the pilgrimage, and the fast during Ramadan.
(Bukhari, Muslim).

The Muslim is he from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe, and the Emigrant is he who abandons what God has prohibited.
(Bukhari).

** None of you believes till I am dearer to him than his father, his child and all mankind.**
(Bukhari, Muslim).

He who is not trustworthy has no Faith, and he who does not keep his Covenant has no religion.
(Baihaqi).

What is Faith? When your good deed pleases you and your evil deed grieves you, you are a believer. What is Sin? When a thing disturbs (the peace of) your heart, give it up.
(Ahmad).

NOTE: Please read carefully the bold italic Hadeeth. A thought provoking thing for truly Muslims. Truly Muslims: who are Sunni Muslims and follow Noble Quran and Sunnah and believe Prophet Muhammed as last of the prophets. Not those claim to be Muslim like Ahmadis, Submitters, Nation of Islam and others. They are NOT Muslims, they are followers of pseudo Islamic cults, but they lie and claim to be Muslim.

How interesting! so how did people count before the arrival of islam? Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, Sumerians, Indians, Chinese, Incas, Aztecs all had independantly developed their own mathematical systems.

firstly, algebra sure got it's name from al-jabr, but it's worth noting that vedic mathematicians had used algebra a couple of thousand years before the advent of Islam.

invented the Mathematics (Algebra)? <

second, mathematics isnt just algebra. geometry and trigonometry were perfected by ancient greeks and indians. number theory, which is of great relevence in algorithms, is almost fully "kafir", so is calculus.
