Speaking of water, have you guys come across the idea that water from one’s own country is somehow different from water elsewhere?

Recently, a Punjabi friend of mine commented that her grandmother and aunt recently came back from India and brought back a few bottles of water from a river that is near where they live. Not sure what they intended to do with it but I found that interesting.

Are you talking about the affection with water of your country or places you consider sacred? Interestingly, India’s holy places and rivers lies in India and therefore there is no conflict in their religious thought and nationalism. This is not true for Pakistani Muslims.
