Punjab leads the pack while others cry. The same is happening with KPK now, which (according to PMLN) PPP was doing with Punjab. Note, most of Pakistan’s power is generated in KPK.

^ No need to generalize people, even now most of Pakistan's electricity is generated in KPK. Kalabagh Dam is not the only option for Pakistan, there are many other options. Kalabagh dam is overly politicized for KPK and Sindh, and besides the whole world is moving towards smaller dams as larger dams have environmental issues.

If the rest of Pakistan has the same access to federal authorities and resources as Punjab does, then Im sure situation would be different. KPK has been screaming for a meeting on security, yet the center insists on doing it their way by using the stale idea of calling an APC.
SS gets to go to China....gets to meet with ISI head.....calls Wapda chairman for a meeting...Im still trying to figure out whether Shahbaz SHarif is the CM of Pakistan, or Nawaz Sharif is the PM of Punjab.

which environmental issues ?? apka nehri nizaam behtar ho jayega… aur jo har saal villages me flood aajata hai isko control kiya ja sakta hai aur phir jo pani zaya ho raha hai wo kasht kari ke liye baru-e-kaar laya ja sakta hai and you are saying ke environmental issues hein…

I know you a good person and everyone here loves Pakistan… but paanchoon unglian braber nahi hotein.. u never know a rabbit hole… and politicize kisne kiya hai KBD ko ?? mene to definitely nahi kiya… infact dukh hota hai ke we are suffering from load shedding and we cant get free hugh amount of electricity by just tapping some machines on that naturally built dam

We as Punjabis should think neutrally. Punjab is not Pakistan, there are three other provinces. Shoving what ever Punjab wants on others would disintegrate the country, like we have witnessed in 71.

I watched a documentary program about a dam in Central Asia as well.
Sindh and KPK have genuine concerns. If PMLN is so concerned about water security they should stop India from building dams on Pakistani rivers.

The major criticism from Sindh against Kala Bagh dam is water flow Kotri down stream, which is causing ecological damages.

As much Punjabis are emotional for building the dam, the people of KPK and Sindh are against it. KPK fears Noswhera will drown and Sindh fears the downstream flow will reduce, these are genuine concerns. Either Punjab convinces them, or leave the project. Kalabagh is not important, Pakistan is. Smaller dams are better as compared to big ones as proven by research.

^ and bigger dams can be built in a month, no? And Pakistan also has the funds available to build it? These are just political ploys to fool people. As much time has been wasted in this futile kalabagh dam debate many smaller dams could have been built to avoid the power crisis.

ab sirf aik hal hai… you bring coal into use and prepare electricity… but definitely unit ki price barhti hi chali jayegi as international inflation will hit high…
