Lahore Ka Cheetah My high school was an all-boys school, so it wasn’t really embarrassing because usually it was a group punishment. LOL @ “mistakenly” setting moulvi’s beard on fire…I mean WTH! How can you mistakenly do that!!! 
Dushwari This thread was about punishment, not to gather opinions whether people think good of the education system or bad

Enya LOL @ the khaaki cover. I never got punished for it because ammi always used to put it on but this is something ridiculous and I hate it when I was in Pakistan. I mean for crying out loud, it’s MY books and notebooks. It should be up to ME whether I should protect them or not. It’s not like agar phatt gayin tou teacher k baap ney nayi ley kar deni hain!!! 
Sheen we are alike The teacher who slapped me was a little drunk. He wasn’t even my teacher, he was just passing by the classroom. He called me and asked me what time it is. I looked down at my watch and BAHM!!! I was shocked 
Sara calm down calm down!! You are right, punishing anyone is bad, especially when it comes to religious studies because you don’t wanna force it. Otherwise kids will do it because they fear you, not because they should fear Allah and they should do it because it’s good for them. This is just like when I was in Pakistan in a hamam (barber’s shop) and this one kid was going in the street. His SOMEONE saw him and started getting mad at him and starting cursing him because the child was supposed to be in the Masjid at that time. I couldn’t go outside cuz I was shaving but If I had a chance, I would’ve asked that dude if he thought cursing to send him to a religious place would help? But then again, that’s the desi system and I am sure Allah is watching and he will hold everyone accountable for their deeds.
Caramel Eyes Well there are people like that in Pakistan too. It’s wrong but it happens.

but wotever it may be. i still belive that it does teaches you disciplne. Though, teachres should not physically discipline the child but adopt better ways to enforce the “code of respnosiblities and behaviours”. No paki teacher would have enuff patinece to teach the un-mannered students here. it’s so unbeliveable how teacher has almost no authority over the studetns that they’re delivering knowledge to; the most they ccan say or do is to tell em to go and sit in the office. Just a day or two ago i was sitting in English class with 2 other frends when a teacher walkedup to us and said" thank you, thank you so very much for doing all you work, you gals never complain, thank you a lot"
so this other gal who’s new to canada was saying i don understand the system here, why teahers are to say thank you to their studetns when they do their work:CareBear: .

LOL@ myself i was never punished .. and even if i were punished that was not like futta maaring or something i had forgotten
mostly teachers kissed me .. /..
i was in class 5th .. when teacher in class said no one’s like ME 
it was only in class 2 when the prinicipal who used to beat gurls with stick ..
took my hand in her hand and i was scared like anything …
showed me the whole skool around 
when i was in 10th we used to annoy our bio teacher .. one of my friends used to whistle on him .. and he always thot it was some guy in the class…
but still i was not punished …
when i was in college ..yes i once scolded by my teacher as i wore a bandana on my head … it was a gurlz college .. and she told me harshly that you should not do fashion in college
.. and i wanted to do alot of it …
when i was in bachelors my stats and eng teacher did not even know me by face
i rarely attended their classes .. though i was a regular student

Elementary School: My teacher (female) beat me up so hard that I got the hiccups from crying; because I couldn’t memorize “Dua-e-maghfirat” that we recite in Namaz: Rabb-e Jaa’alni Muqimu-s-salat-i…
- High School: I was drawing on the board when a teacher of that school slapped me for drawing on the board.
- High School: A teacher purposely gave the class a pop-quiz because we were going to a different teacher for tutoring but he wanted us to go to him. I got the question wrong and he made me a murgha and beat me (with other kids) with a stick.
There are other instances too but these are the ones I still have not forgotten
