So I was out today and saw something which I found quite distasteful.
I’m all for couples showing each other love, by all means hold hands in public, hug etc it’s not frowned upon in Islam so we shouldn’t have an issue with it.
But what I saw today was beyond what I would find ‘acceptable.’
The guy (a gora) wearing a jubba and sporting a dari, with a Pakistani female (in hijab) were walking down the street holding hands, he kept leaning over to her and hugging here/grabbing her waist while they were walking. He then started pulling her in and planting kisses on her lips! (which is fine some of you may be thinking) but at this point he started grabbing her bottom!!! Seriously dude, save it for indoors!! This couple were clearly Muslims, but weren’t acting like decent Muslims.
Would this have made you feel uncomfortable?
Needless to say my mum was disgusted that he went so far as to start grabbing her bottom. I personally thought the girl looked quite uncomfortable as she was pulling away when he was trying to kiss her.
Re: Public displays of affection - would you feel uncomfortable?
The question is why does it matter? Does it have some paramount affect on your life that you can not continue? You so traumatized by the incident that you need a therapist?
Yes I know hyperbole statements. However the point is clear. The only two people who should worry about such actions are those involved. The law has clauses on public decency. As long as they are not breaking the law they are can do what they want.
Yes, she could have gone blind. ** That and perhaps an eye specialist**. Such silly questions, CM.
I applaud you, Amor Amor, for stifling the urge to go screaming “My eyes!!! My eyes!!!” in public.
^The irony, however, is that considering that your nick (Amor Amor) means “Love…Love”…that you’d be so averse to public display of such passionate love.

Like I have mentioned before, whats a taco stand without some salsa. Also blind from watching people make out? Heaven's forbid she watch a romantic comedy. Not only will she go blind she might have a heart attack due to suggestive dialogue.
