Omg this totally reminds me of my "maulvi " cousin who admonished me for drinking water using my left hand and then proceeded to MAKE OUT with his wife in public IN PAKISTAN. flipping idiot!!!
anyways as far as your question goes, muslim or no muslim, it's kinda weird to grab ppl by their ass. Marjorly DISTASTEFUL. I would've just ignored them.
So I was out today and saw something which I found quite distasteful.
I'm all for couples showing each other love, by all means hold hands in public, hug etc it's not frowned upon in Islam so we shouldn't have an issue with it.
But what I saw today was beyond what I would find 'acceptable.'
The guy (a gora) wearing a jubba and sporting a dari, with a Pakistani female (in hijab) were walking down the street holding hands, he kept leaning over to her and hugging here/grabbing her waist while they were walking. He then started pulling her in and planting kisses on her lips! (which is fine some of you may be thinking) but at this point he started grabbing her bottom!!! Seriously dude, save it for indoors!! This couple were clearly Muslims, but weren't acting like decent Muslims.
Would this have made you feel uncomfortable?
Needless to say my mum was disgusted that he went so far as to start grabbing her bottom. I personally thought the girl looked quite uncomfortable as she was pulling away when he was trying to kiss her.
I would find that funny. It's so ironic, it is funny.
Re: Public displays of affection - would you feel uncomfortable?
I would feel very uncomfortable with the butt grabbing/groping regardless of religion. But general PDA involving Muslims... I suppose I now find it more funny. I've seen a hijabi having a make-out session with her boyfriend in public. So I've already had that whole shocked and feeling uncomfortable experience. Now, I'd just find it funny, more so because of the hypocrisy... but that happens.
