Tahira Saleem. Gr8 actress, she did memorable roles in both Punjabi & Urdu dramas. didn’t watch her since long.

Mera ghar ek whirlpool hai..(shabbir jan, rabia naureen, yasir akhter, amina khan, shagufta ejaz, nida pasha, sharqa fatima) the first branded (whirlpool) drama of ptv by yasir akhter was another treat to watch...it was a complete fun to watch...with suspense, comedy all added together...it was a light hearted drama and was surely a change from jageerdarana dramas. and it had a catcty cute title song by yasir akhter. love this drama..wish some one can upload it)

Drama ‘Raahain’. A gr8 drama with some memorable performances by Toqeer Nasir, Ghayyur Akhtar, Saleem Shaikh, Naima Khan, etc. The drama was based on Mansha Yaad’s Punjabi Novel ‘Tawan Tawan Taare’. The drama depicted the rural life of punjaab very well. Tariq Jameel’s gr8 direction after ‘Aanch’. A must watch drama.

PTV Lahore Drama : Raiza Raiza (written by: Iftikhar Hyder, Directed by: M Arshad Tabassum). A fast moving drama with some memorable performances by Fareeha Jabeen, Waseem Abbas (Aafarine hai!), Sidra Khan, Toqeer Nasir, Sohail Ahmed & Others. The Drama was first aired in Punjabi and then re-made in Urdu.
P.S. The drama was aired on PTV in late 90’s. In early 90’s PTV Peshawer also made a drama with same name casting Laila Zubairi, Nayyar Kamal. A dialogue in that drama ‘Aanan Faanan’ was very famous in those days.

PTV Lahore drama ‘Raigzaar’ based on life of ppl of Cholistaan Desert, their culture, traditions, myths, etc.
The drama was very well written by Musarrat Kalanchvi (her first serial). I think after ‘Raigzaar’ Musarrat only wrote one serial ‘Musaafatain’ for PTV.
The drama was directed by PTV gem director Rashid Daar (who already directed Darya based on Cholistan ppl life). Rashid Daar has produced classic PTV serials like Khwahish, Faraib, Sona Chaandi, Andhera Ujaala, Pat Jhar, Hazaron Raaste, Sooraj ke Sath Sath, etc.
The cast of Raigzaar included Toqeer Nasir, Sohail Ahmed, Nabeel, Maha, Jana Malik (her first serial), Aurangzeb Leghari, Saiqa, Sidra Khan, Shama Chohdri and Rashid Mehmood.
A must watch drama for Saraiki lovers…

I was recalling Saawan, casting Sawera Nadeem and Kashif Mehmood…that was one of the good ones that just came to my mind yesterday…story of a guy who wished to get married to an older gal and later…

Sawan was a vey good drama..i have seen it 3/4 times. it was based on a true story.
it had one of the best title songs.

Just findout Nadia Khan & Tauseeq Hyder’s drama ‘Maah Rukh’ clip. Seems interesting. did anyone watch that.

‘Bharam’ . Another drama of Nadia Khan. It had some gr8 performances by Yasir Nawaz & Anjum Ahmed. Anjum Ahmed is really a fine actress. I liked her performances in Ashfaq Ahmed’s ‘Sona mila na pi mile’ and ‘Raahain’ playing Daari Mochann.
