Ptv drama "Duniya" starring nauman ejaz, roop, sidra khan was another excellent drama (roop a very pretty girl acted very well unfortuanteky she just ruined herself by going for the cheap stuff)

telefilm "ek lohar ki" starring nauman ejaz and mehmood aslam was an excellent telefilm.

bila-unvaan was another nice comedy telefilm starring mehmood aslam

Duniya was really a beautifully directed serial by Nusrat Thakur written by: Afaque Ahmed. All the artists performed very well. Noman Ejaz, Sidra Khan, Roop all justified their characters. I couldn't find this drama online.

Ptv drama “Chamak” starring uzma gillani, mehmood aslam, maria wasti, faisal rehman, farah shah and faisal qureshi was a par excellent drama. i have seen it like 10 times. not really a fan of uzma gillani but her performance in this drama was soooooo great that i felt like congratulating her in person.

**Ptv drama “inkaar” **(which got banned for sometime and i heard it was kind of about sikander shaheeh’s story as in his family story (his daughter timmy (tehmina) sikander)) was another excellent drama starring abid ali, sawera nadeem, kashif mehmood, irum hassan, nauman masood, firdous jamal.

Ptv drama “Karb” starring samina peerzada, shabbir jaan, ahson talish, qavi khan, amna butt…directed by samina peerzada and written by dr denis issac (based on a true story) was another par excellent drama…unginnat daffa dekha hai ke ab yaad ho chuka hai ke konsa scene kis scene ke baad ata hai…everyone gave excellent performnaces…and whoever did the music is a pure genious-such a lovely bansuri someone played…(i remember this drama being tagged as a bold drama in those days as they showed samina and shabbir (who played husband and wife) quite close to each other).

Nabeela Khan was a talented actress who did variety of roles from Peshawar and Islamabad Center.

Her first remarkable performance was 'Gul e Laala' directed by: Masood Ahmed Shah where she played a rebellious girl. Her performance as 'Bibi Gul' in 'Bisaat' written by: Ghazala Nigar Orakzai and directed by: Masood Ahmed Shah, was also noticed by the masses.

From Islamabad TV, she did 'Aahan' written by: Wasi Shah and directed by: Tariq Mairaj. She played the mother of Jehangir Khan (her real life husband).

My personal favorite performance by Nabeela Khan was in 'Khwab Raste' from Islamabad Center where she played wife of Mansoor Baloch (the gr8 artist from famous drama Deevarain). I think that was Mansoor Baloch's last drama. The drama was very well written by: Agha Saleem and Directed by: Sami Baloch.

I didn't watch Nabeela after her role as a 'ghost' in 'Filmaria unlimited'.

Anyone remember PTV documentary series 'PTV ka safar'. This 6 episodes documentary was aired in 1994 (to celebrate 30 years of PTV). Each episode covered 5 years of PTV discussing dramas / shows / music programs telecasted during those 5 years.

I think if any one can get that documentary, we can know a lot about golden era of PTV.

Ptv drama Dhwaan (1991) was another fantastic drama (starring ashir azeem, nabeel, nayyar ejaz, asal deen khan, nazli nasar, zubair chakzayi, wajid ali shah, rija amir. One of those dramas which i followed scene by scene and for which i used to wait for like anything. the drama had such a great impact that when nabeel's unexpected death was shown, everyone was in denial including my self...logon ko yakeen hi nahi arah tha...we were like nahi yeh nahi ho sakta because dhuwaan drama nahi balke ek sachi kahani lagta tha jo humaray hi ird gird ghoom rahi hai and also coz humare dimagh main tha ke hero nahi mar sakta (i cried chupke chupke when i saw nabeel's death). the use of nusrat fateh ali khan's song "kise da yaar na vichre (played when nabeel died) was another factor which rose the drama to fame and rose the song to fame too. this drama was a hit and proved that you dont need big names or expensive locations/sets to make a drama hit.

Duhwan (Dawood- Uzma- Hameed-Wajid-Azar-Needo) was a brilliant production from PTV Quetta.Sajjad Ahmed also produced some gr8 dramas from quetta including: Madaar *ing: Soniya (the girl playing Abid Ali's daugther in Khwahish) and Jamal Shah], Paale Shah (*ing: Jamal Shah, Sakeena Sammo, Huma Meer), Barish Ke Baad(*ing: Jamal Shah, Huma Meer, Mishi Khan, Asal din Khan), Pukaar based on Yousif Bin Tashfain's life(*ing: Laila Wasti, Rizwan Wasti, Asal Din Khan, Ayub Khoso, Amber Ayub, Mehreen Ilahi,Tahira Wasti, Azra Aftab).

yeah quetta centre has produced some really great stuff. i wish i can find these dramas online. would be a treat.

Lol. Btw they may not have all the dramas available. I'm looking for drama 'Darya' and inquired from Shalimar / Farhan Trading, but they don't have this classic with them.

I wish PTV should start a new channel 'PTV Gold' showing classic stuff.

jahan tak mujhe pata hai..shalimar has a recording of everything from ptv and stn...on vhs.

haan they should start something like ptv gold. waise kabhi kabhi ptv pe rehmat barasti hai tou kafi purani cheezain dikhatain hain.

Haan. Lekin Sehra main Barish itni Kam hoti hai k ‘Jungle main mor nacha kisne dekha’.

btw PTV is starting some good new dramas including ‘Mushkbar’ written by: Mehmood Mughal

Baabul written by: Wasi Shah and a drama written by: Enver Sajjad (I forget the name). from promos all these dramas seem intereting.

OMG…I am seeing rubi niazi after ages…last time i saw her was in her first film with omer sharif Mr 420…10/15 saal ke bad dekha hai rubi ko. she is good looking. Mr 420 ka ek bada acha gana tha “main tumse pyar karti hoon”

Rubi Niazi also appeared on geo tv’s ‘yeh zindagi hai’ playing sister of ZQ.

‘Dil Behke ga’ is the name of drama written by: Enwer Sajjad which was previously planned to be aired from geo tv, but will be aired from PTV.

yeah i remember it now. indeed she played the sis of zq in yeh zindagi hai.

dil behke looks good. good cast.

btw this actor “imam syed” is he kamal ahmed rizvi’s son (alif of alif noon)???..bohat shakal milti hai kamal ahmed rizvi se…i saw in him in this drama called “dekh magar pyar se” tabhi kahoon kyon itni shakal jani pehchani lag rahi hai.
