I HEAR THAT PTV WORLD HAS STARTED TRANSMISSION IN USA. IS THIS TRUE, CAN SOMEONE FROM USA CONFIRM THIS. ALSO PTV WORLD IS STARTING IN UK SOON ANY NEWS ON THIS??

I can not confirm that PTV World has started in the USA or not but I can assure you that PTV World be making a appreance here in the UK late 2006 or early 2007 this is due to SKY’s long wait of channels wanting to launch.

i think u guys are getting mixed up with ptv prime and ptv world. ptv prime has been on air since 2000 in uk europe and since 2001 in usa.
i am refering to ptv world. is ptv world airing in usa.

global is one lame channel. They hired paindoo who was ARY's correspondent in NY. I can't stand that guy and his accent. He used lick the so called Pak-American elites in NY and DC. His reporting was horrible.

It already has, for those of you boo-hooing, I ask you two questions:
1. Was Prime TV substantially better?
2. Do you always pass judgement on things before giving them a fair shot. Global has been broadcasting for less than three days. Breathe.

As of 2AM CST on Saturday April 22, channel 616 which was “Prime TV” was taken off the air and replaced by “PTV Global”. (SG). At the same time, the EPG was changed from PAKTV to PTV. (ANON). Prime TV is not amused (http://www.ptvprimeusa.tv/press_rel2.asp).

Wese its a shame for PTV. A person's hard earned money is evaporating because of their breech of agreement and court order. A US$10 Million is not a smail amount. PTV either must pay him the damages and his investment or discontinue their transmission. If they were so ambitious to launch their own Global channel for North American viewers than they must have given this guy a five year contract. He gave the break through to NA viewers with the first ever Urdu channel, worked day in day out to make it popular, invested US $10M and now the while elephant PTV is trying to make big bucks. He is looted by PTV.
